Guess Texans drafted the kicker from the wrong Texas school.. Baltimore's kicker is a stud.

The squib kick in the second half is what got me. That's pathetic. You're just handing them the ball around 30 because you have such little faith in a normal kickoff.

This after the double offsides on the 1st quarter punt, and the blocked FG try later.

    Marciano needs to go.

In that situation, he had more confidence in his offense and defense than he did in his kicking game - and rightfully so.

    Or Blair Walsh (Minnesota).

Pretty bad when there are this many rookies on winning teams contributing... and the Texans tried to go that route and came up empty.

I'll still take the 7-1 record... fun to be b****ing about special teams as this teams biggest weakness. I still remember when we couldn't pass protect for more than 2 seconds.

They were trying to avoid kicking to the Bills returner, Mckelvin. That's all that was.

Graham still has a pretty good percentage compared to the rest of the league. In case you didn't notice, Lindell missed a 37 yarder.

Its not that he's inept, its that he has no leg strength... and it comes into play when making decisions about 48-52 yard FG's vs going for it.

They did the same thing last year with Rackers.

Atlanta uses their punter on kickoffs, I say we try the same thing.

Can Bullock (sp?) come off the IR eventually or is he done for the year?

It was the 25, iirc, recoverecd by a "90" number flopping around like a beached whale. Against them, I'd take that everytime. Bills have 2 of the very best returners in the league, and they use them both at the same time = can't directional kick. But yes, would be nice to kick it out of the endzone with regularity. Shame about the Aggie.

I think this year really shows Marciano's problem. Jacoby Jones hasn't looked too shabby. Neither was Holliday. Of all the kickers drafted, we got seemingly the only crappy one, even before the injury. Our coverage team is bad, and we don't give our returners any space to run. Overall, just horrible.

That said, if the other parts of the team are good enough, we can still win. But if match up against a team of similar offense/defensive talent, like the 49ers, I think ST will kill us.
