I hope that Coach 'A' will learn a lot from this game because
there is a lot to be learned.
a] It is a team game, we need three or four players effectivly
scoring to be a winning team.
b] With Yao Ming playing as a role player we ae not going to
make the big improvement that everyone is expecting!
c] The good thing is that it's still just the start of the season
and many adjustments can be incorporated!

d] A Playmaker Point Guard is needed!
e] Louis Scola needs to be utilized.
f] Francis needs to get fit and fit in with the rest.
h] Head is ONLy a spot up shooter and should be never
considered a major player. He can't defend anyone & should
    never handle the ball
i] Is McGrady going for the scoring title?
j] Is Coach 'A' not using the best abilities of each player
or is he trying to remould them to his system? :p

    And how many turnovers?

And what about his back up?

Yeah, I can see how this loss was Rafer's fault.

What will it take for knee-jerk fans to watch a new team unfold before they jump to conclusions?

It's one game early in the season where everyone's still trying to get used to the offence. Calm the heck down.

I vote that we do not use the initials RA on this forum seeing as they are the initials of both Rick Adelman and Rafer Alston. It's confusing. Especially when you're talking about what RA is going to do with RA. WTF?

Im kind of split down the middle...Our coach is Adelman and he wants to win just as bad as anybody, so he must be seeing something that I don't...But in my point of view, Francis should have played tonight. Why pay a guy to ride the pine? Why did we make that signing to not utilize the tool? Francis can create his own shot, he played fairly well in the minutes that he got in the preseason. Had a little bit of a TO problem but just about all of our guards did. With Alston, and James having an off night in a division game where this game could have been a huge step in the progress of this team, Francis should have been given the nod for at least a few minutes to see what he had, if nothing else someone with a chip on their shoulder and a little hustle would have been good out there for us. Our guards passed horribly in the fourth. But its early on don't give up hope yet... Go Rockets!

Our guards had zero turn overs for the game... Mike James had an off shooting night and Rafer had well below his average in assists. Of course quite a few people on the team shot below average tonight, and you can't get assists if the people you pass to miss the shot. The PG position certainly wasn't a strength tonight, but it wasn't because they were careless with the ball.

I rather see Hayes start over Scola. Scola is still a rookie and has a lot to learn about the NBA game before he becomes a real force.

They were both members of the best starting 5 in the league last year...

Rafer Alston wouldn't even be able to beat out Hot Sauce or the Professor for a spot on the AND1 Mixtape Tour.

    What will it take?

    One more arrest...?

i agree. chuck has been fantastic on the boards, defensively, and has been making his lay-ups and put backs. he and scola will be a solid tag team at the 4.

now the rafer debate is a whole other story. on one hand, he gets outplayed every night. on the other hand, benching or trading him would leave james as the starter. james is much better off the bench where he can come in and launch shots.

I think the bench would have much more fire power if Francis came in off the bench at the 1 and move James at the 2 off the bench. It seems to me James moves better without the ball and has the range to hit a jumper, and Francis is better with the rock. Steve looks lost because he cant create a shot without the ball and dont move in the offense without the ball as much as James will at the 2. I believe that would be the fix. Alston is ok his role is feed Yao the ball and get him going early. Bring Francis in at the pg spot off the bench when Alston and McGrady and Yao sit down so he can controll the game. Wells and Scola is just fine for now i like them coming in off the bench.
But yea i some what agree Alston and Hayes is not a championship type starters. Francis needs guys on the floor who can move without the ball and Wells, Scola or Hayes, James seem to do a good job at that.

It'd take a major losing streak because if it isn't broke, don't fix it and we are tearing it up as of now, not to mention coming off a 52 win season with no bench and be honest, you can't be a championship team without a bench thus no reason to f*ck with something that works.

We are number 1 in the power rankings...when has that happened?

Oh and it will take a very bad thing to happen to Jason Terry.

Just kidding I wouldn't wish anything bad on anyone, it's just a game, but Jason Terry YOU ARE SO GOOD IT'S IRRITATING YOU JETLAG MOFO. Stop making shots like that...ARGH. Frustrating to the max. We need Gary Payton to shut his ass down. :p

Just when I thought Terry was losing his ability... Maybe Rafer+Snyder for Earl Watson's bad contract but at least he can D up.
