I don't charge every night, but when I do, it works out to about 4 miles per hour of charge. Again, I'm just going off of a regular outlet.

I'll charge it up to 80% or so and drive it until it hits 30-35%. I think the lowest I've let it get was about 20%. When we go on our trip, I'll charge it to 100% before we take off.

Given my name, you should know I rock any and all rims. The looks don't matter if they're all rockin'.

So I guess that works out to about 50 miles a night depending on when you get home.

If you never go under half a charge, I can see that being doable for most average drivers whose usual radius is about 50 miles a day.

    Interesting.

    Better charging infrastructure
    Better battery tech
    2nd or 3rd gen reliability
    Mechanic proximity and availability
    Time

Pretty much the exact same stuff that's keeping ~90% of auto owners from going electric, currently

Very interesting article, I bought my car from that site and have been very happy with the purchase, I had been snooping around cars the last 2 months but stopped since prices are out of control.

I thought I might be in the market this year but it seems these prices will be with us for a while since we need a cycle of trade-ins to build inventory.

i would think common sense would dictate there are drawbacks to any technology/manufacturing especially new technology.
but how quick we forget what humans have done for oil. not just purge land and water but start wars killing innocent people. i say this as some one that knows oil is going no where for a very long time. too many products are made from it but simply burning it for energy hopefully changes soon.

Went to one of our favorite restaurants tonight. Took the Mach E and plugged it in to a free charger across the street. Went from 58% to 76% while we ate.
