Now Daddy's boy Austin Rivers balling on Harden and the Rockets AND mocking Harden by doing Harden's celebration upon heating up after making a shot. WTF will it take for Harden to get Pissed off and just go into EFF you mode on the court? Basically to say if we're going down then I'm going down like Scarface.
i don't know why people just assume Harden will play better when he gets pissed off. what if it's opposite of that? what if those incidents you mentioned is somewhat of a distraction or a let down to Harden and saps his energy that leads to his poor performance? it all comes down to what kind of personalty you possess, and not everyone have that fiery and vengeful character you're talking about. i wish he was that kind of person, but i seriously doubt it at this moment in time.
i agree with you point there, but the reason people keep bringing up Harden's personality is to figure out how to make him perform better in the playoffs. You don't have to do this with Tim Duncan because he almost invariably shows up in the playoffs consistently, and even though Harden has been OK thus far, he certainly can do much better.
The Rockets got the score to within 5 points then the flood gates opened, they panicked and stopped playing defense. I understand people want Harden to drop 50 points, but the defense that the Clippers put on him won't allow that to happen. They need to go back to Dwight on the post , that should take some pressure off Harden and then he'll play better.

Harden isn't a volume shooter. He's not gonna start driving more and pulling up for jump shots more just because he's angry. He's gonna pick his spots to score and he's going to facilitate as well. He is being guarded well by the Clippers so he can't drive in and kick out or score each possession. Not gonna happen, fellas. If we want to win this series we're going to have to win as a team. Not by Harden playing angry. Harden can go off for 40 each game, but that doesn't win you games. You need the whole team to play with a purpose.
I like Harden. Some of the stuff he does is not necessary, like the Harden swirl. Act like you been there. Do something first, like make it to the Western finals, or win the West. Better yet win it all. Then do the swirl every now and then. As is he is setting himself up to be mocked, as has happened. The Rockets need another star, another scorer. Someone with a good jump shot and all that goes with it. The Clippers & the Warriors have much more balanced and diversified offenses. The LA Clippers are just a better team. Better teams don't always win series, but it looks like they will this time.
Harden has disappeared yet again in the playoff and that's three years in a row. There is a reason for that. Maybe he isn't that star player you would build a team around.
