Also if James goes to Chi-town and wins BIG (matches the 6 rings Jordan got or more), he pushes the player many of us calls the GOAT down a peg or two, leaving the King up top by himself.
He wore the number 23 coming fresh out of high school and the comparisons and media hoopla have been there since day one, i dont think playing in chicago would make that much of a difference as far as that is concerned.
yah it would. Lebron goes to Chicago, and somehow wins a ring.... okay 1 ring, mj has 5 more. Lebron wins back to back rings.... ok MJ won two 3peats. lol i'm just having fun
i'm sorry but when did i ever say he was MY king? I was using his nickname in reference. Maybe it's these jumping-to-conclusions that practically gets you zero credibility/respect on this board?
Im not saying it will happen but.......Lebron is 25 yrs old, and already has 2 mvps and a finals appearance. Playing with Chris Bosh and DRose will make a case for a dynasty. Noah Bosh LBJ Defensive SG with the ability to shoot spot up 3s Rose That is Solid!!! The SG can be Raja Bell or someone like that and it will still be a championship team.
Lebron has 2 MVP, won the regular season both times during those years, and never reached the finals. lol
And this is why James won't have an issue with going to Chicago. LeBron's probably thinking: "Me living up to Jordan? When it's said and done, I'll have people put Jordan after me as the GOAT" It might happen, it might not, but no one can deny that a team of James/Rose/Noah/Bosh can't make a run at multiple championships.
If he wins 10 Championships . . i don't think people will see him as better than jordon Esp not in Chicago No matter who makes the next championships in Houston I think a significant number of folx will still remember 93-94 Rocket River
You think so? I think winning at least 6 rings in Chicago would at the very least put LeBron RIGHTTHERE with Jordan in Chicagoans' eyes.
LeBron has been to the finals one time......and they got swept by the Spurs lol That was the year that Boobie got popular of a second.
please reread it. never said he has NEVER reached the finals in his career. just in that 2 year period when he won the 2 mvps and 2 regular seasons.
I hear this. Chicago does seem like an ideal situation with Derrick Rose already looking like a Top 15 in this league for the next 10 years, but Michael Jordan is Chicago. Lebron trying to emulate Mike doesn't make any sense. I'm confident he stays in Cleveland, but there will certainly be a coaching change. That team isn't far away. Shaq wasn't the right choice, but at least he is no longer under contract (he's old, fat and not the player he used to be, but I hope Houston is at least inquiring about his asking price). Antawn Jamison was a HORRIBLE idea IMO. Maybe 3 years ago, but I think they had a better chance with Hickson. Now they're stuck with him for at least this upcoming season. He makes too much to be tradeable.
I hope New York ends up with rudy gay/joe johnson and stoudamire. i think that stoudamire is injury prone and is not gona be the same player without nash. joe johnson aswell is not gona be the same player with out a great sourrounding cast like the hawks had. hopefully they continue sucking so that we get top 20 first round picks
I don't think anything happens 7/1. They'll milk the suitors and juggle offers for a while. Forums will be lit up like it's the week before trade deadline, but for like a whole month.
where amazing happens? it's here! on July 1st!!! I wonder whether the new BIG 3 becomes real...
