I would think a line for him is about 15 pts, 8 rbs, 3 blocks. Shane Battier will probably win rookie of the year though.

Unrealistic? Maybe but it happens. Remember what Magic did as a 20 year old? MVP of the NBA finals.

I think Griffin can put up numbers better than Darius Miles of last year. Miles put up 9.4-5.9-1.5, so a 13-6.5-1.5 season would certainly be acceptable.

I know Rahim played one year of college and did some damage his first year. I wouldn't call it unrealistic to assume he can put up 12-14 points and 7 rebounds a game.

Supposedly the Nets didn't take Griffin partly because he didn't work out for them. Did he work out for the Rockets?

Nope. Rudy didn't think we had any shot at Griffin. Nice surprise. I still can't believe he's a Rocket.

I was going to ask you what your problem was until I saw the little red-face thingy, which has left me totally intimidated. Then, when you followed that up with that sizzling "jag-off!", I knew I'd met my match...Jag-Off! Whooo! What a hoot...like, taking my name, and turning it around on me....Wow! Man, where do you get this stuff!?!? Jag-off!! No way I'm going up against you in a name calling contest!! Way out of my league...Next thing you know you'll call me a dummy-dumb-dumb, or something equally cutting...

Considering Tim Duncan had 2.5 bpg in his rookie year, I don't think Griffin can get over 1.75, if that.

Duncan was one of the most polished 7-footers to come out in a long, long time.

He led the ACC in blocks all 4 years, with 3.8 bpg.

Very similar to Griffin, but Duncan's game was way more polished than Griffin's game coming out. He went to college for 4 years and he's seven feet tall. It will be harder for Griffin to block shots in the NBA.

A tad unrealistic, maybe? When was the last time a 19-year-old put up the kind of numbers you guys are talking about? Name me 1 guy. Give the kid a few seasons to develop. Jermaine O'Neal finally broke out this season, at the age of 22. Jonathan Bender is a year older than Griff and has yet to emerge as a player.

I'd be more than happy with 12 points, 6 boards, and a block this season.
