Point-Forward ala Lebron. You can hate all you want, the guy is gifted.

Blake Griffin seems to have that aura about him.

A 4 who seems to be able to guard any position, pass the ball semi-effectively, and has mad, MAD hops.

Not saying Blake is the most dominant right now, but he just has the makings of a really, really good player.

Lebron is basically the same height and weight as griffin, neither have great post games and lebron jumps higher, dribbles better, runs faster, shoots better, passes better.

So how can you say blake unless you go with the "lebron quits" argument which has been disproven nearly every year except last year in a few games and will be disproven again in this year's playoffs

And people will still argue that Lebron is better...

    Stopped right here

    Just imagine for a second

    Everyone

    Just imagine it

Someone the size of Yao dribbling past someone at blistering speed

    Damn

Maybe in another 100 years, everybody will be 10 feet tall and runs faster than Usain Bolt

ur username makes me laugh :p it's like ur my missing piece, haha
none. basketball is a team sports but it's hard to win as a team. teams that play iso in regular season will struggle in the playoff but u need at least a star in crunch time

LeBron James. Dude has worked on his post game, mid-range jumper and defense to the point that he may never relinquish the regular season MVP award untill he retires.

or you could just not post in this thread? ...since you're so put off by the topic.

    anywho...

i imagine the next great player to be a power forward. a mix between lebron and karl malone. size. speed. and POWER.

blake griffin maybe? or someone like him?

LeBron jumps higher based on what assumption? Have you seen Blake Griffin play?

LeBron dribbles better, because Blake is not called on to dribble the ball. Obviously, someone like Dwight Howard rebounds better than Kyle Lowry, because Lowry isn't hanging around the basket all the time, timing his jumps to get rebounds.

Runs faster? Pretty sure they both run at the same rate.

Shoots better, I'll give you that. But once Blake polishes that offensive game, the NBA better watch out.

Passes better: again, Blake isn't called on to pass. But he has shown, in the limited number of NBA games he has played, that he can pass the ball pretty well.

One last factor is the team LeBron is / was on, and the team Blake is on. LeBron didn't have stars around him, so defenses collapsed on his. That left people somewhat open, and his assists numbers show it. Blake has Baron Davis and Eric Gordon on his team, so he isn't an auto first option on the offense.

LBJ already has a better 3 pt shot than Kobe...has been for like 2-3 years now. Kobe makes more jumpshots, but I give LBJ a pass here because Kobe has a much better team which inflates his 2 pt% a bit because he gets more open looks. LBJ in Cleveland gets swarmed almost every play.

Not saying LeBron doesn't fit the mold, but you can't argue Blake Griffin being a candidate as well.

    Both are freaks.

Griffin is probably more explosive given his size but his body can't withstand it. LBJ has almost perfect proportions on everything, he can dunk on people all day without blowing out his knee or something.

Only a matter of time before China develops another freak of nature with all those qualities, the same way they engineered Yao Ming. Remember that article about how it took years and years of breeding to come up with that freak???
