In the last tread that I predicted our record for this year it was assuming basically the same lineup as last year adding the rookies and without chasing Webber. I said 52-30. A lot of changes have been made since then (Rice, Willis, No Hakeem, Taylor injury) but I still think it is a reasonable prediction. In fact, I think with what we have shown in the preseason (esp. the improved defense) we can definitely do it. 52-30
I don't think any team besides the Rockets improved in the West except the Lakers with Richmond. The Rockets will be the sleepers of the NBA this year. I think we will be second in the midwest behind San Antonio and third overall in the Western Conference. 59-23
Are we REALLY better than Utah. Even though they are getting older, Stockton and Malone are poster-boys for consistency. I'd be hard pressed to say that we would have a better year than Utah...although, it's completely possible that they will fall off the face of the earth (hopefully). I agree with your 'sleepers' prediction. I hate the Jazz!!!
We will clearly be a better team than last year (especially defensively--you can already see it in the preseason) and this puts us at 49W and 33L (7th seed in the West). LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!
48-34, 7th seed. Partly because I think it's got a good chance of happening, partly because no one else has picked it yet.
48-34, 8th seed in the West. 1st round exit to the Lakers, but NOT by the broom (3-1) like the rest of the Lakers opponents fall until the Finals.
its time steve takes his rightful place as the best pg in the nba and a SUPERSTAR 53-29 6th seed, be afraid very afraid western conf
4-78 Oh, sorry, that was my Bulls prediction. 50-32, 6th seed, lose to Blazers in first round, in five games.
