if you depend on one player for your offense you suck big time whenever such a player is having an off night or off season or off half season...particualarly if that player sucks on D or God fobid is injured
and we had shot 0% in the third quarter and jeremy missing like 7 out of 8 shots in the row... i think the key was losing momentum and some stupid mistakes in fastbreaks where instead of quick few points we gave up several points and lost momentum...momentum is imporant big time and sometimes momentum is the only difference between blowup loss or win....
I learned two things: 1. That Denver will be up s*** creek when they lose home court advantage in round 2. And 2. That the Rox have a better shot to win it all in the next 5 yrs than they do. Suck it Denver and George Karl. If Utah and Jerry Sloan were not in such close proxomity to you, you would be my most hated team.
I've read a lot of posters who try to knock athleticism, but when u watch denver and their foot speed, quickness, size, and length, its like night and day. The most athletic rocket is probably Jones and he would probably be like 5 on that team.
Lol momentum. Always the fall back explanation when someone is clueless. You act like its a boulder falling down a mountain. That's momentum. Not different players happening to all get hot together.
We should learn that this team offense is good enough to win games even if Harden has an off night offensively. We should also learn that you aren't going to win many games allowing more than 130 points a game.
thnx for the metaphor! momentum is exactly what you have described- a boulder falling down a mountain...thats beacuse we live in a psychogical reality... you ve got to take my coment in the context i was not looking for excuses for not playing well but about the fact that if you lose by 20pts it doesnt mean you could not have won the game, or you have no chance in the next game or you are a far worse team or that the game couldnt have gone in the opposite direction...cause we were hot in the first quarter...
More specifically, stop getting soft big men. Ours get pushed around a lot, and are probably among the least physical in the league. Even our guards are tougher than they are.
I love Iggy. Always loved his locked down defense and he is no slouch on offense either. Him and Shumpert are among my current favorite players. Iggy was the reason I watched the Sixers until he got traded last summer. And now even though Jrue is still there I just don't get much excited about that team any more.
