I'd love Hinrich, but only if Chicago was willing to take Rafer's contract back along with other expirings. That would leave us enough room to make another trade for a backup swingman.
What we need is a legit 6'5 + Guard that can create his own shot. Francisco Garcia, Jamal Crawford, Matt Barnes, Cuttino Mobley, Josh Childress, Mickael Pietrus, Caron Butler (pipedream) types of players are what we need.
I haven't even crunched the numbers but I think that won't even work to get Hinrich, he's getting paid 11 mill a year (although it decreases each year, even his last year he'll make more then Rafer's yearly salary) and is one of those BYC players. Hinrich is good but 11 million dollar good?
$10 mill for next season, and doesn't his BYC expire this offseason? Rafer, Luther, Francis' contract, cash, and a future first rounder would be what I would offer. Save BJax and Woods for another move at the swing position and backup center.
