950, then 1020. It was shocking to me to learn quite early that I was just a man of below average intellect.
oh yeah, i remember the Duke thing.... i was pumped because i was a huge blue devil fan at the time not sure what i made on the SAT's, i think it was an 1180. i remember being pretty upset about it (was aiming for a 1300), but looking back i really should'nt be suprised because i didn't study for ****. pretty much the story of my life.
Never had to take it but took the ACT Fall 1990: 26 I was never that good at standardized tests (I did finish in the top 5% of my graduating class).
Took it in 1999, got a 1560 (out of 1600). 770 verbal, 790 math I think.. can't remember. I do remember some kid asking if I could take it for him - offered $150 for it. You should do some prep work to bump your score a little. Knowing the tips and tricks can help a lot. However, it is true that once in your college, your score means nothing, and I think it's stupid we have any kind of standardized testing. I know plenty of people that got a worse score on the SAT than me that did a lot better in college (Carnegie Mellon) than me.
1590 (800 verbal) on the old ones in 1993... highest in my high school's history at the time. a year later (1994) they dumbed it down so that white folks can score 1500+ too... nowadays, i think my high school produces 10 1600's a year...
Duke test in like '85: 99% PSAT in '89: 1280 SAT in '90: 1180 (while on codeine after surgery) TASP: 99% And for what? An "AA" in General Studies. (Well that's all for now... still working on job-related training )
1400- 710 in verbal 690 in math(2003) It's pretty funny though, cuz i always used to tear up math, and got like near perfect scores but my verbal really sucked it up so i had to focus on it nonstop. and i ended up doing better in verbal than in math, which kinda pissed me off, but im at ut bc of top ten percent rule, and now i gotta worry about the MCAT...
