I'd guess people with low scores wouldn't want to answer the question. Also, this is the internet. We're all super geniuses.

I'm inclined to believe that the majority of people voting are being honest. If you got a crappy score, why would you volunteer that information in a public poll?

I got like an 1380 the only time I took it. I know I was going to Texas from kindergarten so the SAT was just exercise. I did better on the PSAT since it actually meant something if I did well. I think I was only 2 questions from be a national merit semifinalist. Missed only one math question on both SAT and PSAT. The ADD kicking in.

I killed the GRE when I took it in February. I'll try to remember to post the score, it is on my desk at work.

I didn't realize that there was no reading/writing section on previous versions. Looks like I'll be the lowest yet

    1200 = 710(Math) + 490(Written/Verbal)

Only took it once in 2001, and the fact that I read fairly slow killed me on the written section. Verbal was not an issue. Math seems to be fairly natural in my family, but so is ADHD.

On the SAT, I was 650 verbal, 750 math. I took it after a full night of drinking where I sneaked in my bedroom window 30 minutes before my mother came to wake me up. Oh, and it was taken during the summer after my sophomore year.

I don't see why not. Only an idiot would think SAT score actually has any bearing on intelligence.

Thadeus, I think he just called you an idiot so hopefully you've already done his mom. I only got 1240 or something so don't quote me on that.

Considering that ACT tests on different material in a different way, you shouldn't respond...
Btw no one cares what your SAT score was, graduate high school, then college...
That's what helps, although the economy does not ATM

    3 inches if I'm lucky
Going bk to the ACT score off 31 people do try and compare them, but they're
two different standardized tests, and back in 2000 was considered "easier of the two"
Your score does have a "maybe what you would have got"-

    SAT ACT
    1400–1430-(1600 scale) 2100–2150-(2400 scale) 31
University of California Scholarship Requirement. . Retrieved June 26, 2006.

Not that far removed from high school, but as I recall I got a 30 ACT and a 1970 SAT (1300 composite)

You have to remember that 90 percent of CF is Asian which skews the number a lot.

i'm too ashamed of my score to answer the poll...did very well on the math portion & was shocked by how low my comprehension/english section score was.

Did not study one lick because i looked at the SAT as a joke. To be honest, i was just grateful i didn't have to take the baccalauréat ("le bac") as i finished my last year of HS in Houston. The bac is a brutal, unmerciful & cold-bloodedly wicked instrument of the French educational system.

I had friends that did nothing for 6months straight but study for it. Your score decides college or trade school. In the US, one can be a miserable student, go to junior college, apply to studying & transfer to a state college to study ANY FIELD one wishes! Great for the immature/late bloomers.
