Not personal at all. No worries.

I applied to and was accepted at 5 schools. UT was the 3rd highest rated school I got into.

I was offered a full scholarship to Northwestern School of Law if I would defer my admission a year and get a full year of full-time work experience. I graduated UT undergrad in 3 years mainly because I wanted to get out of law school a year earlier so the prospect of waiting a year and nullifying the reason for taking 3 summers worth of classes wasn't appealing enough to accept that offer.

I was accepted into Georgetown but the tuition alone was around $33,000 per year. Add that to room and board and you can pay around $150,000 for 3 years' worth of law school.

UT has a tuition of around $20,000 and I was offered about $10,000 a year in money. At the time, UT was ranked only one spot below Georgetown so the difference in money didn't seem justified.

I've been extremely satisfied with my decision thus far. I'm getting a top quality law education for a great price. It may not be a top 10 school but top 15 isn't that bad either. (Although we may have dropped out of the top 15 this year, I'm not sure).

Interesting... I think I would have taken that Northwestern offer if I were you. Of course, I'm not the kind of person who would want to be a lawyer at 24 either. Tell me you were old enough to drink your first year of law school.

Glad you had a good first semester at Texas, though. Enjoy your break, because next semester is going to be hell!

Yeah, I entered law school at 21. I don't drink, though, so it really didn't matter.

The Northwestern offer was very enticing but I'm fairly certain that I want to practice in Houston and a lot of the big Texas firms are out in full force recruiting at UT. There may come a time when I regret that decision but, so far, I'm happy with the decision I made.

I haven't even checked my first semester grades, yet, so thinking about 2nd semester is at least a week away. :D

Thanks to everyone for the congrats. Below are my answers selected questions/comments.
    Four.
That was my first thought as well, T_J.
I would say that is a fair assesment, but I got tired of bragging about the size of my huge penis. :p
You can get a 180, it costs about $150 to take IIRC, and it cost me 40 bucks to buy an LSAT book (cracking the LSAT, from the Princeton Review).
For me the long and arduous application process begins soon. Might come back and update this thread.
University of the Pacific (School of Engineering and Computer Science more specifically)
6 sections, 5 of which count, 4 of which determine your score. 1 section is experimental, which isn't counted and duplicates one of the other sections, there is a writing sample which counts but doesn't affect your numerical score, and there are 2 sections of arguments (a short argument is given and a question is asked about the argument), 1 section of reading comprehension (like any other reading comp from standardized tests), and 1 section of logic games.
    Hopefully.
    :) Smartass.

I find it interesting that everyone here claims to be above the 80th percentile and mostly everyone claims to be above the 90th percentile on this test.

Any free practice exams online or anything like that? I am interested in taking the test. How much does the real test cost?

Nah, more likely, the people below the 80th percentile just don't post their score. This isn't supposed to be some sort of random sample, just a bunch of people posting how well they did.
