I took it in December, and I got a 178 (99th percentile). Hooray for me! Oddly, that is about 15 points higher than my average on practice tests (which did not show an upward trend).
Jesus, dude, that's awesome. How many questions did you miss on the test? I got a 164, which was the score I got on my last practice exam. A prep class brought me up almost 10 points from where I started, so it worked out for me.
Holy crap! I got a 164 this past December cold (no classes, just bought one book) and I thought I did well... Congrats man!
wow, i can't believe i'm the first person to respond saying this, but, #1, i'm sorry that you have no friends, and #2, i'm sorry that your parents taught you nothing about life. nothing is more pathetic than somebody who brags about their standardized test scores. nothing. truly feel sorry for you.
So what is the highest you can get on the LSAT? How much does it cost to take? How much does it cost to prepare for?
Relax dude, he's happy about his results and there's nothing wrong with that. Ok, so I wouldn't start a thread on a bbs about my LSAT or SAT score but it's ok to feel proud about the fact that you did well. That doesn't mean he's a ridiculously cocky person or that he has no life. It just means that he's probably extremely excited about how well he did and wanted to share. I think standardized tests don't prove anything but even I was pretty damn happy when I got my SAT score. Either way, congrats on the score and good luck in law school wherever you go.
uh, wow... bittermuch? man 178 is incredible. Are you getting a free ride to law school or what? Do you get your pick of where you want to go?
The tests from the 90's were so much easier. I always get 170+'s on those. My practice scores range from 165-170 but I flubbed up in December and missed a game, as well as having to pee so bad I almost passed out during the reading section where I missed the last 5. I would have had a nice score if not for that. All in all I walked out with a 161. I'm retaking in February.
Well, for all you guys applying to law school (DON'T DO IT! (unless you really really really really want it...)) here's a site that will help you tune in your school admission expectations. I found it to be fairly accurate when I applied. http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com/
What is index? At some schools I were looking at people were getting in with 2.8 GPAs and LSAT scores at 145+. So what is on the LSAT anyway? And my earlier questions also stand.
Each school has an index that is a composite of LSAT and GPA. For instance, UT's index used to be (GPA x 10) + LSAT = index. During this time, if your index was less than 191, you were auto-rejected. Each school has a different methodology and different weighing of LSAT and GPA. The LSAT is a combination of logic games, logic-based short questions, and reading comprehension. The scale is 120 to 180.
Didn't your parents teach you to STFU if you ain't got nothing nice to say? So why don't you STFU. And so that I can take my own advice I'll add 'please?'
