What was your honest thoughts on how this season would play out.

Second round taken to game six at a minimum.

 

About 55 wins, second round.

Disappointing season; disappointing playoffs.

 

I envisioned AJ hoisting the Lombardi trophy!
Wait that's my other dream. At the beginning if the season I was sure we were 2nd round bound but as we jelled more after march I thought we could possibly make it into the WCF.
Damn my expectations.

 

The Heat could not win a championship their first season playing together. This team was not going to get close. I thought the second round was possible but WCF was a pipe dream.

 

Wasted year with no one being held accountable for literally not improving one bit in our playoff results.

 

I thought we would at least have made it to the semis

 

The Bobcats have won less.

Second round. When the playoff seating was set, a deep 2nd round run and potentially WCF.

 

2nd round with a slight chance of getting to WCF.

We are underachieving.

 

Western conference finals. I honestly just felt we ran into the hottest team going into the playoffs. We put up a good fight... .9 seconds away from game 7, we should be playing tomorrow at 2:30...i still can't believe it.

55 wins, 2nd round.

Just short on both, but not by much. Everyone is acting like we're a mile away. A decent bench and improved play from our power forward slot adds 5 wins to the regular season and puts us in the western conference finals next year.

 

2nd round was always realistic. Never thought McHale was that bad under pressure.

Championship is what I wish. But you earn it and it is not given to you for free. Unfortunately.

 

I thought we'd get to the WCF.

 

Middle of the playoff seeding and possibly second round but first round exit was my prediction. This team is not built for the playoffs. We're regular season heroes. That is it. Morey and Mchale are Nba jam or NBA 2k stars.

 

I post more on rgm nowadays for a more neutral environment (no defensive or hurt feelings over criticisms), but like the others, i also thought second round and maybe WCF if the match-up is favorable

Has any other franchise have to endure as many 1st round losses as the Rockets while supposedly having two top-10 players? T-Mac/Yao and now Harden/Howard, though it's only been one year.

I'd never been so uncomfortable with 10+ pt leads in the 4th quarter as this series

 

I went back & forth a lot over the course of the season.

1. Offseason (in the wake of Dwightmare) -- I was suuuuuper optimistic and thought WCF, why not? Of course, that was just based on the names on the roster and not having seen them play together yet.

2. From October - All-Star -- I thought first-round exit. We were blowing leads left & right, not executing down the stretch, injuries everywhere, just not clicking all that well.

3. From All-Star - Dwight/Bev went down -- I thought 2nd round for sure, maybe WCF. We were hitting on all cylinders, winning games we would've blown earlier in the season.

4. Dwight/Bev went down - Game 4 -- First round exit. We limped into the playoffs and started the series the same way. Went from thinking Rockets in 5 to fearing a sweep.

5. Game 5 - last night -- Thought we'd at least make it to the 2nd round. I sincerely thought we'd pull out the W last night and close it out at TC tomorrow.

 

Honestly, first round exit. Right now we're not even as good as the Tracy & Yao era teams.

 

Same here. I expected 55 wins, a top 4 seed, and a 2nd round appearance. So overall, a disappointment.
