I remember the 98 draft very cleary. The draft board people ( analysts) kept on saying Lewis a hometow player is going to be their next choice after Dickerson. Then after Drew they were very positive that Rockets will get Lewis. And with Turcksan was picked most people were confused and shaking their heads.

We could've had 2 steals with Lewis and Mobley.

the Najera for Langhi trade was not the worse, because Dallas was doing us a favor and we would have never gotten Najera anyway.....Now selected Langhi was not bad per se, we just could not fit him in the system. Langhi has actually carved out a spot for himself with Phoenix......so the pick was solid for second round IMHO

the Drew, Turkan dealio was bad......what the hell were we thinking...

No offense, but I doubt a team of Drexler, Barkley, and Hakeem would have stayed together for long......personal disputes, on-court disputes, money, etc.

If it were possible, it would have been nice to have Jordan and the Dream.
The best player and best center on the same team?!?!

    Recently though, Lewis.

Actually the Spurs are having to adjust to Ginobili and his creativity, offensive and defensive, more than the other way aroud. Even Pop says he doesn't understand what Manu's doing but he's going to have to let him do it because it works. He could probably play for the Rocks because he could steal the ball and wouldn't have to wait for Francis or Mobley to pass it to him. Rudy says he already hates Manu and Roxs fans will be getting to hate Manu for years to come. :)

btw Where's that thread where HeyPartner carefully analyzed Manu's game and declared it no big deal. Sure wish I could find that thread I could use a good laugh. ;)
