As for the Mo Taylor signing, I was extremely disappointed that the Rockets threw so much money at the worst rebounding starting 4 in the league. I just think physical post defense and good rebounding are the best qualities to have at the PF position and Taylor had neither of these. There is no doubt that he is an scoring weapon though, but that money could have been better spent since we have no one other than Cato at the 4 that can rebound and play defense and I wouldn't call Cato an expert at either.
I was happy about the deal when it happened for the following reasons: We didn't have a front court player at the time that could score efficiently (KT was still shooting threes at that time and Olajuwon was falling apart) Shandon Anderson was the starting 2, couldn't create for himself, but was a solid rebounder for a SG. Francis was young and kept throwing ball away when he tried to create for others. He was a solid rebounder for a PG. Olajuwon and Cato were still good rebounders and shot blockers.
