What was the actual reason for the logo change in 95/96?

I didn't like our old jerseys, but then the jersey's got worse. And finally they changed it again, and the jersey's got even worse.

I mean, our current jerseys are not timeless. They are way too 2000's and will be out of date in 5 years. And once Yao retires, they won't make any sense unless we draft the next Chinese phenom.

I wish we went with a more timeless look. We're an old franchise relatively speaking...we should get a jersey that reflects the history and classiness of the organisation.

Its all about the dollar with Les.

Nothing wrong with that but he changed it looking to get more revenue thinking people will buy the jersey if it looks good when in fact, people buy jerseys because of a popular player.

I'm sorry to say that is the same reason Yao was drafted and why the new logo looks like Chinese characters - mo money form China.

The Bulls, Celtics, Lakers, Spurs, none went away from the championship colors.

Detroit did it and realized how stupid that was, went back and guess what? won a championship.

Les is a good salesman, but that championship team was of another administration. Since then, 10 years later, we cant get out of the first round.

I really want those old jerseys back. they can always just update the jersey cut like the Lakers and pistons did with theirs. As a fan i love history....theres just something special about rooting for the team your father rooted for with the same logo/jerseys...the history gets lost with jersey changes....and i can only hope that my future kids can root for the same rockers when they become fans.

These jerseys are far the best, hands down.

I wouldn't mind us going back to that....

I am sure the t-mac and yao jersey's would sell fine since neither of them played in either of them.

It's who's in the jersey that makes them look good.

The current jerseys may need some tweaking here and there...but the logo and colors for sure, can definitely hold up over time.
