I think he said something along the lines of that Tracy proved haters wrong or that the Rockets were still in it and he shouldn't lose hope. Rafer really took the reins of being the vocal leader last night on the floor, so I think he was just motivating Tracy at the end of the game and reinforcing the fact that we're in this series despite what some people may think.

I would say it was something along the lines that this series is theirs and not the Jazz's.

huh? what about the 7 consecutive points that he scored to ACTUALLY bring us back in the game and get the lead? What about the block and crucial rebound in the last couple of mins?

And half of Scola's points probably came off TMac's penetrating and passing the ball for easy plays. Nah but people like you would ignore the whole game, but just talk about the flop by Kirilenko and that last shot that TMac missed. Get a life.

Funny how all the haters would put the entire blame on TMac for any loss but credit Landry for this win.. f ing hilarious.

Nobody's perfect. With T-Mac the good clearly outweighed the bad, but there was obviously some bad in there.

No, that was just Landry's hyped-up face. Thats the same face he does when he dunks on someone or gets the and 1.

Yeah that is exactly what I saw. It was like Rafer got in his face and said, "Come on T quit going up like a p***y and then whining cause you didn't get a call. Next time slam it home!" And Tmac's immediate reaction was being pissed but then Rafer kept talking and explaining to T that he is better than that. At the the end my impression was Rafer was saying, "Props to you T... we can beat this team when you play like a man!"

That fourth quarter showed our potential and our weaknesses.

Some +'s and -'s for TMac:

    Pluses:

    - Although a bit late to read the defense, TMac passed up a shot and drove the baseline to get fouled. This was a bit of a mental letdown to not read the defense and realize they're in the penalty, but he recovered well to get to the line
    - Made an open jumper and a tough jumper on AK
    - Took a jumper off a set play towards the end of the game; it was a miss but a clean look and a decent possession
    - Made all 4th Q FTs after badly missing his first
    - Big block in the paint
    - Big-time rebounds during a 2 minute span
    - Sustained his energy for a strong 3 minute spurt to finish the game
    - Overcame his obvious mental fragility to finish with a win

    Weaknesses:

    - TMac really bricked one free throw; I mean, you can miss a FT, but he shot that like he was real tense.
    - He also had an offensive foul at a really bad time, and yes if you are smart you can avoid stuff like that ...
    - TMac also mishandled a pass but thankfully recovered on the left wing towards the end of the game ...
    - He had that one layup that he missed and with his gifted athleticism you can attribute that to being tight as well ...

We can make a list for a couple of other players too ... point being this is a huge load off the Rocket's chest to win this game. I can see McGrady playing better as the game comes to a close tomorrow whereas overall I think he just played OK yesterday. He made some shots, he made some mistakes.

Bolded the parts that will get trashed by the haters. Those 3 shots were good shots within the flow of the offense. He made 2 out of the 3. If he misses the 2 that went in, they blame him for "settling" for jumpshots. His elevation and release was perfect on that top of the key J in AK47's pansy face.

His bad brick on the last play, was a solid play, and he was probably fouled, but you would like to see the shot bounce up of the rim at least. Give your outside guys a shot at a long rebound.

I think he was trying tell Tmac to go up strong for a dunk on the break away, beacuse Jazz in penalty. NO layups!! Rafer is definitely the true leader of this team without Yao.

I wonder if T-Mac didnt expect to get absolutely creamed on the play, and thought the foul was a given.

Rafer seemed like he was on the top his game last night. It seemed like he knew every situation out there on the court and what needed to happen. I like that he gave tmac a talking after that blow fastbreak layup by mac. Mac just stood there staring at the ref for the non-call, Rafer started talking to him during the timeout about it.

I don't know what he was thinking, but I don't think he realized that the Jazz were in the penalty for the last 10 minutes of the quarter. He hesitated and drove once with nobody in his path. After that, he took jumpers, and I don't mind his jumpers but when in the penalty he needs to mix it up.

Clearly he should take a clean shot if he has it, but he didn't have a single layup with the Jazz in the penalty; they would have either had to foul him or let him get the layup.

Tmac proved yesterday that he's a great talent who is still overcoming the mental burden of choking in the playoffs. I use the word choke because we've given up 2-0 leads in our last two playoff appearances, and he's given up a 3-1 lead before that. I have faith that he will continue to improve, and if we can pass this first roudn hurdle, he will be a lot stronger in the next round.

He drove several times, once finding Scola for a layup. Other times he ran into a Jazz wall and passed it off but the others didnt score.

Rafer said: "See we can win when every two or three games I shoot like a starting NBA point guard. Aren't you glad tonight was one of those nights"?

If I remember correctly Tmac was suppose to rotate out to Okur and Scola got most of his points spinning around in the paint. I really wish we post up Tmac a little less. He is alot better off the dribble. I'm not gonna blame that offensive foul on McGrady though because AK obvously tried to pull him down. Think about it...why would Tmac grab AK? To keep him from falling?
