You just happen to have take it personally. But that's why I proved evidence and not opinion. Here's some more.

It's ok to change your opinion when presented with new evidence.

personally? far from it. its just puzzling how someone needs to try and spin someone elses words just to fit their own personal agenda. but hey this is cf's. sometimes there just needs to be a reminder

original post: upper tier of both sides of the ball
morey: try to get as much offense on the floor w/ an elite to extremely good defense

    confirmed agreement.

Also you must not know but the single best predictor of team success is point differential and obviously it's easier to increase your point differential in higher scoring game vs lower scoring games.

But the ultimate ace is a team that according to some metrics/ sites had the best offensive rating of all time prioritized the MLE on a All offensive player, Melo over an all defensive player Mbah a Moute

I voted $10M or more if available day one as UFA. Not saying others here are wrong.

Here are some comparable 18/19 salaries. Not all from PF’s like Melo and some deals done while money was prime.
    Melo (17/18)........16.2 pts....5.8 rebs....1.3 ast

    Mason Plumlee....7.1 pts.....5.4 rebs...1.9 ast ($13M for 18/19). That’s — 9.1 pts... — 0.4 rebs...+ 0.6 ast..vs Melo stats.
    Miles Plumlee......4.3 pts......4.1 rebs ($13.8M). -- 11.9 pts... — 1.7 rebs....vs Melo stats.
    Jon Leuer.............5.4 pts......4.0 rebs...... 0.6 ast ($10.0M) .... — 10.8 pts... — 1.8 rebs... — 0.7 ast....vs Melo stats.
    Gortat...................8.4 pts....7.8 rebs.........1.8 ast (

    John Henson.......8.8 pts....6.8 rebs..........1.5 ast (
    $10.6M) ... — 7.4 pts... + 1.0 rebs..... + 0.2 ast.....vs Melo stats.

So some of these players took advantage of prime money years. Jabari Parker happened this year as a RFA.

    Jabari Parker...........12.6 pts.....4.9 rebs....1.9 ast ($20.0M) ... — 3.6 pts... — 0.9 rebs... + 0.6 ast....vs Melo stats.

Melo was rumored to be interested in Chicago in years past.

I think all the players are overpaid. I’m glad Melo got his $25 Mil or so from the Hawks so that Houston could sign
with Houston for the vet min......but if he was a free agent I think Melo would have received $10M plus, because
he is no worse than these other players mentioned above.

I seem to remember the media criticism of Jabari Parker receiving his contract and telling him he doesn’t play
defense. Didn’t Parker say they don’t pay me to play defense. Then the media member tweeted that maybe
Parker has a point. Named players like Ariza, Roberson, Tony Allen etc and their wages vs players like
Evan Turner, Crabbe and now Jabari Parker.

& Melo had a bad year last season on all accounts. Rockets will put him in the right places. Hopefully.

Tyreke Evans is closer to James Harden than he is to Carmelo Anthony.

even if offense and defense aren’t equal, defense is still extremely important when talking about title contending...it’s just as important as offense if u ask me...you’re not beating GS if you’re defense isn’t elite

in 14-15, we had a better defense than offense: ranked 6th defensively, ranked 12 offensively...Harden improving to MVP caliber and the defense going from just above average like it was in 13-14 to just outside the top 5 allowed us to win more games and go much further in the playoffs with a much less talented roster and more injury issues

last year, we were also 6th defensively, and defense was 1 of the main reasons we were up 3-2 against GS because we damn sure weren’t beating them with some elite offense...every game in that series that we allowed GS to get going offensively we lost in blowout fashion...in our 3 wins we held GS to the equivalent of a bottom 5 regular season offense in terms of offensive efficiency
