SHSU as a music major. Decided I wanted to make money, so quit after 2 years and started my IT career.
Trinity University for my undergrad, then Duke for Masters. I thought it was a good idea until I realized just how much people despise Duke.
UH-Downtown Is funny every interviews I have been to 80% of the hiring managers thinks UH-Downtown and UH-Main are connected. I got hired by a Fortune 200 company in downtown and HR contacted me that they couldn't find my record at UH-Main. I told them to check UH-Downtown and started work the following week. Most of the hiring managers I have encounter with seems to be from outside of Houston. They have the impression that UH-D is just a satellite campus to UH-Main. Classmates went on to work for HP, Chevron and Oil & Gas companies had the same experience. The cost per year to attend University of Houston is $18,047 for the 2012/2013 academic year compare to $5,022 at UH-Downtown.
For me the question is which schools DIDN'T I attend. Schools I attended: Colorado State UTEP Arapahoe Community College UTEP Cisco Junior College UNT North Central Texas College DCCC I finally got my **** together about three years ago (after becoming a dad) and got my Associates from NCTC then graduated this past December from TWU in Denton with my BBA in HR Management...
