I like a good offensive team who can also play defense,especially one who can put the defensive clamps down on a team when called to do so
It should also be able to play team defense.Everything should be balanced,
a team who can play the uptempo game,yet grind out wins in the half court game.

 

Wishful thinking, most teams are a balance of all human aspects.

A defense only team = mediocrity (which obviously Rockets fans love the most)

A team with balanced offense and defense team = winner (props to OP not even mentioning this option because we all know Rockets are not building a winner.)

Neither choices are playoff contenders.

Defense only, Bobcats and Bucks, or offensive only, Toronto Raptors and Phoenix Suns.

Being very good at defense or offense can get you into the playoffs. The teams that play one side of floor usually lose to the teams that play on both sides of the floor like the Celtics(Big 3), Spurs(Duncan+Ginobili+Parker), Heat(Shaq+Wade), and Lakers(Kobe+Shaq/Gasol).

 

Winning is always pretty, no matter how "ugly" it is.

If we have Bosh or Amare for next season.
AB/K_Mart/Yao/Bosh(Amare)....

 

I would say balanced with a bit more of offense, something like 60% offense and 40% defense.

 

This thread sucks, you can't win with defense and no offense and vice versa.
