NO would be hard pressed getting a better offer than Capela for AD straight up. I'm not sure why people think 4 firsts is neccessary or part of any equation? That was the offer to swap Butler for Knight/ Chriss. Essential it was 1-2 firsts to dump Knight and 2-3 firsts for Butler. Once you offer genuine talent the conversation changes. Capela and 1-2 firsts?
Lol this is idiotic Capela is younger and cheaper than AD. I understand AD is a superstar Capela is maybe a star but Capela is also proven to mesh well with Harden and I don't even know if AD can take the pounding at the C spot long term. Sure Capela isn't better than AD, but is he 50% worse than AD? Because Capela is making 18M and AD would make 35+. And those 4 picks just make it too expensive on the Rox part. Other than Holic who has some blind hatred against Capela nobody in their right mind should even consider trading Capela and 4 1sts for AD. If Cp3 is young and healthy maybe you think about it but as it is we need our depth
Ha... That was me saying how that's the only package we could offer to even be considerred. But that would take a team like Charlotte giving 2 1st rd picks AND THEN another team like philly giving us a 1st for ego. Then we would have 7 1sts to dangle but I imagine NOP would prefer, want or demand a taytum/Ingram/ball type of young player
Mine is just a guess cause, the problem is other teams can offer talent too, and while i'm a fan of Clint, he's not a guy you can build around, but rather a guy you want to put around your star/s. Tatum has star potential, if Boston offers him and the picks they have (Sacramento, Memphis, Clippers), we would have zero chance to even compete without throwing in multiple picks, especially since SacTown pick alone (likely to end up in the lottery) has more value than our 2019 and 2021 picks. Overall, there's no scenario where Capela + two 1st rounders in the 20/30 range is a better package than Tatum + two 1st rounders in the 10/20 range. As for Butler, when traded, he was a 29 years old disgruntled top 10/15 player in the league, expiring and looking for a max. Davis if traded now, is a 25 years old top 5/10 player in the league still under contract for 15 months.
Tax is too high and it is over the tax budget. Morey has to add knight in the package. Front court Tucker, Davis and gordon It has to add knight in the package it doesn’t matter how super you are.
****... I’ll pack Capela’s bags if I can get AD for Clint and 4 draft picks that will all be in the 20’s.

I am with you on this. AD has more of an injury history and AD has reached his talent level peak, while Capela is still growing as an NBA player. To keep AD we will have to pay him twice as much as Capela makes further hindering future moves and depth. And can you imagine being in the playoff series and AD goes down with a shoulder injury...Ouch!! As I understand AD is a better player than Clint, it wouldn't be a smart move for our current team as constructed. CC is the perfect center for our style of play. He's humble and hungry, runs the floor, doesn't need the ball in his hands to affect the game and is still getting better. I'll pass....
I think Clint Capela was a Teen on the Rockets and Harden kept passing to Clint for easy dunks, that's is when the Trust, Friendship started, Clints mentality is I will work hard in running the floor, hopefully I will get rewarded with a dunk. Plus Clint owes James Harden a ton of gratitude of getting a huge contract. Clint grew up having nothing, now one of Richest Players, his hard work pays off.
