I was talking diamond weight. And you are right...1K is a big everyday wear rock. 1.1 and 1.2 are noticeably bigger....1.5 is the cusp of too big.

Hey man, don't get me wrong. Myself, I over thought this 2-month thing and started saving...and I took a lot of heat from her and her friends and my mom for waiting so long to propose. I actuallly chose the proposition date based on when I could get the diamond. Doesn't sound from the heart when I say it that way....but it was.

I wanted her to be giddy. She is the type that says ring doesn't matter. All of her friends are that way, too. But let me tell you, she was giddy when that rock came out. I mean, I could 'splain how giddy and gigglie she was, but let just put it this way...when your understated, low maintenance girl turns red and starts giggling while staring at the ring before she can even answer your proposal with a "yes"...that is worth all the savings time it took.

I completely understand that love should not wait. I made her wait because I wanted a big surprise. There is good and bad about my angle, but bottomline...she was a girl who said ring doesn't matter...but boy....I am saying that it did freaking make a difference. She loved it and stared at it and all her friends were jealous....she l o v e s it.
