a guy like him could (best-case scenario) fill a "raja bell" type role for us if we get in a tight spot. Just like a guy like Mobley, I suppose. Wake up... haven't the successes of Cassell and Mobley proven that 2nd round picks can be successful? There are plenty of of others out there. Sure, the odds are against any individual pick working out, but don't be so dismissive. If the Rockets wanted him, they had a reason. I bet they saw some sort of promise. Do you see another reason for requesting that he be included? It's easy to bash... but why not create an alternate scenario that's credible? Anyway, sounds like the guy can score and shoot. Houston already has a lot of those fellows, but injuries etc could always make another one useful. And if we lose Moochie... well, we've got some insurance now.
Drew_Le, Eddie House is the guy I was thinking about too. I wondering if he is going to get significant, or all his, minutes at the 1 this year. Anyboby know? A couple of other much lower picks rings a bell too, Randolph Childress and B.J. Tyler. Both lights out college players, but neither one could make the transition they needed to to stay in the league. I don't think Hill has spot. He doesn't hurt our position if Moochie leaves, but doesn't help it that much and he basically is a long shot. The Rockets know the odds are against him ever playing an NBA minute, but you never know, he could be a gem.
