that's everything going wrong? self-pity is fun (i love it), but you could spend a fair amount of your time doing something more useful... like getting into the solution (maybe, maybe no). seems like some of these things are out of your control. why not let them alone and act on something that you can control and leave the rest up to whoever? edit: thx, nicerollin. just been lurking.
Buddy of course it can get worse: Is it really that bad? I have a friend who hasn't had a job in 5 months and just this past Wednesday his car just got stolen.. Yes it can get worse.. So now he has to wonder how will he go to job interviews and if he does have a job how will he get there.. But you know what it can always get worse...
Tested911, that is one of the most depressing things I have ever seen. If this thread hasn't kept things in perspective so far for the OP, I truly hope that picture did the job.
You are right You are worth what the market will pay for you. I used to be worth a lot, but am no longer worth it. But it isn't even about money. It just seems like if something can go wrong it is going to.
You should have done what I did: report the post. "Hmm" has a knack for being annoying and irrelevant in discussions of all types.
I have found from past experience that no matter what is going on in your life, there are always people who are having it a lot worse. This is what I tell myself when I get depressed and frustrated (wishing I made more money where I work at, frustrated that my wife has seemingly been blackballed from ever teaching again, etc.). Hang in there is about all you can do.
I'm not sure if you were posted that story on the BBS, or if it's too personal or whatever, but is there a REASON why you feel like that? Is there something she did specifically that could have led to that, or is it just a general feeling you have because she hasn't been able to find work? Just curious.
I second this, I quit my job 3 months ago because it was taking too much out of me, I put my health over a great job....money isn't everything.
Well it is a little too personal to share to the entire board but you can email me through the board and I give you the cliff note version of it.
this is akin to stumbling upon a Swoly-D complaint/report in the forum archives.. that cites another user's overuse of forum emoticons as it's vexing cause.. it's bizarre.. doesn't make much sense.. has no validity to it.. but in the end it's harmlessly laughable in it's absurdity.. as to everyone else.. whose complaints were valid.. I do apologize, I hadn't realized I had done three autoplays in three seperate threads in a row.. in one night..

Oh, if it's too personal, I don't want to pry. I'm sorry I asked, man. No need for a personal email or anything. I hope everything works out for her.
just wondering, how does one link to a autoplay'ing video w/o knowing it? i've embedded hundreds of videos, and never once have i left any of them as autoplay - it seems like the default setting would NOT be autoplay. put another way, i would KNOW if i embedded a video that was set to autoplay, not to mention if i did it 3x in one night.
