Check out Flat Creek if you don't feel like driving down to fredericksburg. Solid Vineyard and amazing good.

sort of off subject, but is anyone watching the rox game tonight anywhere in Austin? I am getting tired of Third Base, but would be up for it if others are watching...

ok back to the subject, yea Flat Creek- I highly recommend.

You people have him driving all over Central Texas. Round Rock to Driftwood is over an hour. Round Rock to Fredricksburg is 2 hours. What the hell is the point of coming to Austin if you all are telling him not to come to Austin?

The Oasis is fine for the scenery, but the food is still crap.

There is a great cajun place in downtown Round Rock called Louisiana Longhorn Cafe. There are also a couple of cool little bars across the street, so you don't have to go across the damn world.

Also, The Salt Lick is in Round Rock now and the food is just as good as the original. The only difference is the ambiance and you don't have to BYOB. Taylor isn't far to the east if you want to try Mueller.

If your fiance likes to shop, the Round Rock Outlet Mall is very nice.

6th street is about a 20 minute drive. You need to consider one thing, though. You'll be staying in Williamson County. WilCo cops are not the friendliest and this is a no-tolerance county. Just be careful that your fiance doesn't spend Sunday trying to get you out of jail.

Wow. I found this going on at the Alamo Drafthouse in N. Austin at midnight. I'm both skeptical and intrigued at the same time. Hmmm. Any opinions? WTH?
JIGGY CRUNK: THE 90s POP-RAP SINGALONG
    Rated Unknown

    Location: Alamo Village

This show is a part of the Sing-Along Extravaganzas Signature Series

The old school rap was great, and the realism of Common and Mos Def can't be appreciated enough, but god damn it, the pop rap of the 1990s was just so incredibly catchy. It feels bad to admit how much we love it, but it feels good to go with it. And so we're back this year with another edition of JIGGY CRUNK, and because we're in a whole new decade now, we're going to do something unheard of in previous Jiggy Crunk shows and add in some of the best pop rap of the '00s right there alongside the '90s rap and R&B! We'll be reprising a lot of our favorite songs from last year's show, so don't worry about missing out on your Will Smith, Neneh Cherry, or even Vanilla Ice. But go ahead and grow your facial hair out and then shave it to ridiculously thin lines, because there's a good chance Color Me Badd will make an experience. And grow your dreadlocks out, then give them to someone else and let them pretend to be you, because HELL YES we're going to include Milli Vanilli. The pop rap of the 1990s is coming back to the Alamo Drafthouse, and this time around there ain't no future in your frontin'. So just understand I'm the candyman, and I'll melt in your mouth, not in your hand. So don't - you get fresh with me.

Heck yeah! Alamo sing-a-longs are epic, as long as you're in a fun mood and properly inebriated. My wife and I went to the Boy-Band Sing-a-long and the 90's One-Hit-Wonder Sing-a-long, and they were both a blast!

Also, I second Leroy's suggestion of Louisiana Longhorn Cafe (downtown Round Rock, just a block away from the library). Good cajun, HUGE portions.

Me and my ex went to a few sing-a-longs. Absolutely worth it, you should go.

Could you tell me more about Inks Lake? I want to take a group of people to some sort of outdoor park of sorts. Light hiking and maybe boating. Just somewhere scenic to spend the day at. I would be driving from Austin. Inks Lake looks to be about 1 hour and 20 minutes away (on the far side).

Anywhere else you could recommend? We have been boating on Lake Travis- and while we could do it again, wanted to try somewhere with scenery beyond the lake. :)

LL Cafe kicks ass....downtown Round Rock. Great food, and as others have said, lots of it! Price is pretty decent, too. Check it out next time y'all are in RR.

Girl Talk is performing on campus.

Go hit up some piano bars, check out 6th street now that Texas Relays is over.
