    Aren't the 5 and 6 year olds you coach still beating everyone by double-digit scores as you have written in the past?

    I think it's kind of funny that the parents from DaDa's team are scouting the other team before the final game in a 5/6 3v3 no keeper, no scorekeeping league! Talk about pressure! Will the 'For Sale" signs suddenly appear on DaDa's lawn if he loses ;)

    Play the game. Seems the other teams in your league did. The teams you beat! Let the league know your concerns after the season so they can address it next year.

    You speak MUCH ENGLISH. Yeah, they won't have trouble with you in that league and no one will complain, since you can't speak ANY Spanish and your former league didn't check you. PLAY ON! :D

    Actually this year the games have been much closer. The took our field size and halved it...which I don't understand and basically give the kids no room to manuever, so it has gone for my team from learning how to pass effectively to being a shin guard war...who wants it more.

    The new commissionar took the fields down from 25x20 yards to 20x15, basically taking 40% of the field away....now all the kids do is dribble once or twice and it is out of bounds...very frustrating.

    I don't know why Swoly got his panties in a wad when I was speaking about the kids not speaking English...and that is why they are not in the appropriate grade level...it is just the truth....

    Their league apparently plays by grade level, where ours is very strictly age oriented.

    I don't mind the challenge, I do mind having kids get hurt because they are playing kids 3 years older than them.....and at 5...those three years are a lot different than they are at 15.....

    Methinks Swoly-D is a might sensitive about his Mexicanicity....

    You never said "Mexican kids", you said that they spoke "little English" and "speak Spanish." Who gives a ***** whether they're from Spain or Puerto Rico? You do, 'cuz you're the one who cited this as to why they're so YOUNG and in KINDERGARTEN.

    LOL! I hope you lose your next game without injuries 'cuz you can't enforce your own rules and now are whining. :D My 5 year-old can beat up your 8-year-old any day.

    I don't care whether they speak Italian or Russian the facts are the facts...they are 8 years old and in Kindergarten BECAUSE they are newly arrived to the USA from Mexico.

    Does that mean they are stupid, or ignorant? NO !! It means they are where they are because they just got to our country...nothing more nothing less.

    You are more sensitive than 2 gay men worried about Prop 8 in California.

    As for the rest...My 8 year old would karate chop your little puny 5 year old to bits, all the while screaming USA..USA...USA........

    That is the point....8 year olds are too old to be playing against 5 year olds.

    Are you sure these kids are older and have failed because they don't speak english? My two year old daughter is very tall for her age (and smart), so she's often mistaken for being older than she actually is. Unless you're positive that the kids are older a have failed for that specific reason I think you should not have included the text I bolded. Personally I thought it was racist to assume these kids have been help back because they PROBABLY speak little english, base on where they live.

    If my daughter ever play soccer (which my husband really wants) I hope her coach doesn't stereotype people like you apparently do.

    This is hilarious. This man(DaDakota) is trying to be cautious with what he says, and he is being attacked for it. Welcome to America. You boys have a big ol chip on your shoulders and you dont know what to do with it. DaDakota said nothing wrong.

    True, I have read his original post again, all he was saying was why the kids were 8 and in kindergarten. He wasn't trying to put anyone down.

    Why did he need to say that the kids probably failed because they don't speak much english? Was that really necessary? It's not like he knew it for a fact, he just assumed it.

    I do not sound like an arse, these kiddos just got to the USA and are starting school at the Kindergarten level.

    That is just the facts...they were not held back, they are just starting late and because they do not speak English they are starting at the Kindergarten level...

    No judgement by me other than they are 8 and should not be playing 5 year old soccer.
