If you look at an NBA Team's stats, you may see that there are 13 guys who've gotten minutes, with a few guys getting 4 or 5 mpg...but his is due to lineup changes and injuries. No coach willingly runs a rotation of over 10 guys on a given night. I'd say 9 is the average, 8 is on the short side, and 10 is on the long side. More teams move towards 8ish come playoff time.
