Priority # 1: Fill the void at SF. I like the idea of signing an oversized 'SMALL forward' like Darvin Ham (6'7" 250) or Lee Nailon (6'9" 240) - considering we are undersized at PF...both should come relatively cheap...at least cheaper than Posey.

    Priority #2: Sign Hawkins

Priority # 3: Decide whether Badiane will play state-side. If not, sign a big bodied PF (to the minimum) that will shutup and rebound.

Priority # 4: Sign a backup guard that can chllange Moochie...shouldn't be too difficult to find.

#1 The Rockets still have 1/2 the MLE to use. The question becomes who will sign to play for that little $$$.

#2 Hawkins will sign for league minimum.

#3 What big bodied PF will sign for the league minimum?

    #4. Another league minimum signing.

Signing TMo make sense. He can play both of the forward spots and can be had for the league minimum.

My thoughts exactly...Other than Hawk...All is an unknown, right now...how much did Nailon and Ham make last year, and what are they looking to make?

The Rockets don't want to embarrass themselves by releasing TMo and then signing him....but I hope they do.

Raja Bell wouldn't get too much playing time here...but he is a very good defender and would help Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley and Eric Piatkowski and Moochie Norris during practice. He and Hawkins could be good helpful guys in practice...Raja Bell also has a pretty good offensive game and can really fly if he gets the chance too...I like him!

I still getting Posey would be best...but he is too costly...:(

What would be worse is not signing not even one of them! We need help at the forwards spot!

Raja would eclipse Moochie's playing time...fine by me...but, we have 'bigger fish to fry' at the SF spot.

CD might say he will try to upgrade our remaining slots but consider the talents and the money, I doubt that we will do anything but sigining a couple players close to min contracts.

We might still work on a trade knowing that some teams are loaded at certain position (i.e. Griz at 1, Det. at 4/5, Knicks at 4/5 and even Utah at 2/3 ...) but I will leave that to the experts around here.

Our roster is actually pretty set except for depth and injury protection.
    1) Steve, Mooch
    2) Cat, Pike
    3) Rice, Boki
    4) EG, MoT
    5) Yao, Cato

    - A backup 1.
I think Bimbo Coles, Hardaway, Blayblock r available if they would sign the vet min.
(Although an option is to let Cat play it and allow Pike more time at the 2.)
    - We can get Hawk to back up the 2 & 3. DerMarr Johnson if he is healthy.
    - TMo to back up the 3 and 4.
    - Willis to back up the 5 or a 4, 5 combo like Sean Rooks, Samaki Walker, Massenberg.

I don't like the idea of getting retired and/or nearly retired players...Hardaway, Blaylock, Willis...let's get someone we can groom...

I would like to see Demarr Johnson and Kenny Anderson signed.

Do either of them play defense?

Anderson- would be a better back up than mooch

Johnson -could start at 3 considering the small forwards we have. If he fully recovers from breaking his neck.

Tim Hardaway is still out there. He'd be great veteran prescence and he'd be a good backup to francis. He did a very good job in the playoffs for the pacers but I think he's still got some game.

I agree with u except there are no good, young players with potential out there that are freely available for u to pick from. :(
    Every team wants them!

I'd like to get Kendall Gill. He has a few good years left in him and would be a great fit at SF. He would be alittle under sized, but the Rockets would not have to play him a lot with Rice, Boki, and Hawk also playing some minutes at SF.

I like them all...last i heard, Barry was close to signing with the pacers, and spurs couldn't pay Jackson what he wanted (so, don't think the rocks could, either)...

That was Jim Boylen that helped Posey. He's gone.

Jon will get an offer for 2, 2.5 mil from Indy I believe.
Kenny made 9.1 mil last yr.
Best is ok and can be have for reasonable money, I think.
Voshon can be have for cheap but we don't need him any more, we got Pike. We need a defensive 2/ 3. Voshon is not that.
Jackson is costly. S/A can't afford him. He might lower his price later but I doubt that it will be less than 2.5, 3 mil. He is not all that hot anyway.
Oakley won't come cheap and where would he play? We only need a third string 4 unless we move EG or MoT.
