Im not going to say Ewing was never good because he kind of was. We are used to great centers in Houston so a guy like Ewing was never great in our eyes. I agree with you though, that maybe he needs to add different things to his game that he feels comfrotable with. Maybe the Chinese National Team is to blame here. Afterall, they are the ones who force him to go back and play with them every year instead of staying here in the United States and devloping, playing against tougher talent.
To participate in the "Old Knicks Retirement Plan" established by JVG and CD and to go to strip clubs. Another function is ruin Ming's game so his legendary status under JVG will be secured. (I'm not really serious, but I would prefer another coach for Ming) Actually, I have no idea why he is here, and I doubt he does either.
Thats exactly what i have been saying. It will lead to some easy baskets and help Yao get off to good starts at the beginning of games (and help him stay out of foul trouble).
To be the backup mascot of Clutch Bear, Clutch Ape. I'm not sure that's entirely nice......but who cares, he got slapped around by Dream.... Ewing's not to blame for Yao's inconsistancy.....someone said earlier that he's really good at staring at a clipboard....well, how's Yao gonna learn any moves if all he's doing is starring at a clipboard too.
I noticed lately that when Yao goes to the bench due to stupid fouls, Ewing won't say a word to him..........what a coach.
