That's easy . . . 1. Men's Club 2. Baby Dolls 3. Heartbreakers 4. The Ritz 5. Caligula 6. Rick's Cabaret etc, . . .
Easy, we have see Yao's great pass, spin move, long and middle range jump shot, hook shot. Where are these skills now? All gone, only left a muscle man stand under the basket and wresting with other big men. How this happened? Do you have an answer for this?
My only answer is that defenses have figured out how to stop Yao from making these moves, don't you think that if Yao knew he could score with these moves he would be doing them, most of them could even be executed from that very strange to all centers around the world position of left block and right block, Who knew that a man 7'6 would be asked to score from there instead of just inside the three point line :gasp:
Are we ready to say that Yao is just another "Big Country" Reeves? Tell KAJ to go stuff it. If we want Yao to learn to play basketball, we will bring in Bill Russell. Other than that, we will continue to have him learn the finer points of Scrabble for Mr Ewing.....
I don't think anyone in the world could figure out a way to defend a 7'6 man's spin move. It is because Yao should not stay too close to the basket. That is not his comfort zone.
He is here just like Charlie ward is here and any other ex knick just being brought in by Gundy to get them an extra pay day and do nothing =)
Hi MadMax, please do not quote the whole post, you negate the purpose of Ignore List. Have you ever noticed guys like him only come out of cave when Yao has a bad game ? Thanks.
Well, my only point is that Yao will never be a dominant Force in this league. He may very well be a great player in this league who can score, but he will never be a dominant force ala Shaq. Maybe it has a lot to do with his upbringing but at this point I think we can only blame the frustration on him that has been caused by JVG style of play and the officiating.
I think the problem is that Yao is leaning from Ewing; at least in regard to rb, to & pf. Patrick Ewing's first 4 years in the NBA 1996: 50 g, 35.4 mp, 16.3 fga, 20.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.1 stl, 2.1 bpg, 3.8 pf, & 3.4 to 1997: 63 g, 35.0 mp, 16.7 fga, 21.5 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.4 stl, 2.3 bpg, 3.9 pf, & 3.6 to 1998: 82 g, 31.0 mp, 14.4 fga, 20.2 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.3 stl, 3.0 bpg, 4.0 pf, & 3.5 to 1999: 80 g, 36.2 mp, 16.0 fga, 22.7 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.5 stl, 3.5 bpg, 3.9 pf, & 3.3 to http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/e/ewingpa01.html Yao's first 3 years in the NBA 2003: 82 g, 29.1 mp, 9.8 fga, 13.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.7 apg, 0.4 stl, 1.8 bpg, 2.8 pf, & 2.1 to 2004: 82 g, 32.8 mp, 12.5 fga, 17.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.5 apg, 0.3 stl, 1.9 bpg, 3.3 pf, & 2.5 to 2005: 37 g, 30.9 mp, 12.2 fga, 18.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 0.8 apg, 0.5 stl, 1.8 bpg, 3.7 pf, & 3.0 to Ooops! Yao's year played corrected. That what I get for trying to post right before quitting time
Wasn't there more upside with Yao before Ewing got here???? Seems to me that there hasn't been any growth in Yao's game. Dream used to add a new trick or move every year, and he learned from Moses......!!!! How can Yao learn from a dude(Ewing) that wasn't that good in the first place?
yea.. i don't see anymore of those turnaround jumpers aka shanghai shake anymore.. or one of those effective passes to the middle. all i see is.. bump bump loses ball
They used to run that pick and roll where Yao would be at the top of the key or on the side WIDE open for a 15 to 18 foot jumper..... Don't know why they go away from that...you imagine a TMAC Yao pick and roll, they wouldn't know who to gaurd.....
i think i've seen that a few times...tracy usually get the 3ball out of it.. Yao doesn't get too many touches with that play IMO, even while tracy is double teamed.
You guys just don't get it! That is not Ewing sitting on the bench next to Yao , it's Dione Warwick, have you ever seen Patrick and Dione together in the same place? That is why Yao shows little improvement, I rest my case!
