If Legler picked the Rockets, he sure backed off that pick in the pregame show before game 1. When/where did he pick the Rockets?

Jay Marriotti also picked us and said so again yesterday on Espn's Around the Horn. In that same show, Kevin Blackenstone, the Dallas Morning News writer said the Mavs would win the series in 5 games, wish I had a tape of that.......

Get a tape ready for the flak Blackistone is gonna take today. Unless he mysteriously calls in sick.

That's correct. Barkley made that comment afterwards. Give no credit to Chuck. He's a perenial Rocket basher who's jumping on the bandwagon early.

I watch that show everyday and something tells me he won't be on today, if he is they won't let him hear the end of it, esp. Marriotti

Actually no. Yao was backing down Shawn Bradley that created the space for that vicious dunk. If you watched the replay, Bradley was actually right under the basket before the play.

I actually made it a point to write down his calls for the playoffs.

Simmons is entertaining and has a good general feel for the game, but he's pretty far from an expert. He's a shameless homer (which isn't a bad thing unless you work as a national writer), and his often WAY off.

This year, he predicted the Lakers and Wolves were going to be in the top 3 in the West, and had us missing the postseason. Almost half the teams he expected to be in the Eastern playoffs are hanging out in the lottery (Cleveland as the 3 seed, and picked NY and Tor to make for god knows why), and he didn't think Miami would be higher than a 4 seed.

He's a hilarious guy, but I wouldn't read his column to place any bets on the postseason.

I have always seen Salley as a pretty sharp cat, especially regarding basketball. He picked the Pistons from the get-go last year, but I thought he was just being a homer. I would love to see him proven right about the Rox.

Let's not count our eggs before they get laid here. We still have to win two more to beat the My Little Ponies, and we've let teams beat us in out gym all year long. The Rockets have to step it up at home. I think the Mavs will win at least one here. Hopefully, we keep our composure and intensity and go back to Dallas and close it out. Or better yet, prove me wrong and sweep them.

Who actually picked the Rockets BEFORE Game 1? Let's see the honor roll.

What a gutless man that Chad Ford is. Now they have an article on Espn Insider where Ford says, T-Mac has woken up. What is that supposed to mean? Ford should wake up and explain his "confident" prediction. part of the title on the main page is "T-mac continues to prove Ford wrong"
