what team do you want hou to stomp in the playoffs the most?

First off good thread. I have been playing nba live 05 just so I could beat up on the mavs..

The Mavs beat the rox (water under the bridge).

My reason for picking the mavs is based on the way they won the series. After a bunch of close games in which there were some very controversial calls, the rox ended up losing the last game by a margin that basicly gave the mavs fans and the rest of the nba way too much ammo in discrediting the rox.

So for next season its only right for the rox to put on a show and kick the crap out of the mavs. Dirk and their self proclaimed second best center in the NBA (Dampier) deserve to get their butts kicked! Good thing about it is that this year Tmac wont have to work as hard guarding Dirk cuz we have Stromile.

Rox are gonna do some good things this year, and for all who disagree - take a number and kiss a hairy donkeys ass like chuck barkley did!!

I voted SA, since they're on top, but here's my entire dream playoff sequence:

Play the jazz in utah on the last day of the season and smash them, dropping them from the playoffs to the last spot in the lottery. Then:

First round - phoenix
Second round - dallas
WC finals - san antonio
Finals - miami

you could switch the jazz and phoenix in this scenario and i'd be almost as happy.

also note that in this scenario, the lakers finished in 10th place in the west (even though they had no injuries all year), and were swept by the Rockets during the season.

 

well if you mean FIRST team we face, isn't it obvious? i want the rockets to FURTHER exploit Dirk and co. for the chumps they really are.

 

There is no team in the nba I hate more right now than the Spurs. Mavs come close but the loss was somewhat understandable. We were undermanned, filled with injuries.... If our soldiers come in healthy for the post season this year, there is no reason for us not to sit back and laugh as we watch the Rockets demolish the Mavs without a sweat. I do fear Avery Johnson though... I think he is one heck of a coach and he does look like he knows what he is doing. But I am about ready to cut three fingers off to see the Rockets demolish the Spurs. If we could accomplish that feat. and see the Rockets advance to the finals I don't think anything in my life could be any better. Maybe doing it year after year after year.

 

The Suns.

The Mavs have always been irrelevant. Everybody knew they'd never win a championship. We almost beat them last year with a lesser team, who cares if we beat them this year. Woo f*ckin' hoo.

The Spurs are good but, I actually respect TD (to a certain extent), although I hate Ginobili.

As for the j*zz, I'm just gonna say, neither Karla or Flopton ever won a Champ. They are irrelevant and will be in the foreseeable future. They just re-signed Ostertag for Christ's sake. That's good enough for me.

Fakers won't even make the playoffs. HAHA KOBE.

Shaq is retiring soon, there won't be a rivalry with the Heat.

The Pistons are good but not fearful.

If ronron stays out of another hissy fit, Indy will be almost as good as us, but we are getting better.

So that leaves the Suns. They are the only team that could potentially challenge us in the future. Step on their throats once step on their throats forever. Not to mention I hate Amare's stupid mug.

The other team that I wouldn't mind beating is the Cavs, although even if they make the playoffs they won't make the finals.

 

The Mavs must be beaten into the ground, that's just to start but it's a good start.

Really has as much to do with Cuban's ill-fated attempt at becoming the New York Yankees of the NBA as their defeating us this last season.

After that, the Spurs, Lakers, Suns, and Heat are all up there.

 

Avery is a rookie and hasn't proven a damn thing. Pop is still the coach I fear most, he has had a demonstrable effect on molding that team into a defensive monster. Perfect point were two similar situations in the playoffs guarding Steve Nash.

1. Steve Nash takes a clutch game winning shot in the deciding playoff game with Jason Terry 10 feet away from him. Nash makes the shot and the Suns advance to the WC finals.

2. Steve Nash takes a clutch game winning shot in the deciding playoff game with Tony Parker and Bruce Bowen draped all over him. Nash misses the shot and the Spurs advance to the NBA finals.

When AJ has the Mavs playing defense, I'll be impressed. Right now he's all talk.

 

It's got to be San Antonio. I'm so sick of the holier than thou attitude of Spurs fans. They think that there is a divinity to how great they are. The truth of the matter is that they are only as good as Duncan makes them, and his aging knees aren't going to hold up forever. This is the year the Rockets become a serious contender.

 

I'd like to see us completely crush the Spurs.

 

I dont understand the (revenge of tmac) part of the poll. How about revenge of tmac, the other players the fans and the whole city of houston.

Dallas would be the easy choice, but SA needs to go down. I can't stand anything about that city and they are the team to beat (have been for a while). IF you get pass a team like the Spurs, then there isn't a whole lot that can stop you.
