What Team Do You Not Want to See In Playoffs?

The team I REALLY don't want to see in the playoffs is the Texans team that played this past Sunday.

There is nothing wrong with the defense. I repeat, NOTHING wrong with the defense. The Texans secondary is vulnerable to high powered passing games, just like EVERY OTHER SECONDARY in the league.

The problem in all three of their losses has been the offense. Too many three and outs and turnovers at crucial times. They leave the D on the field for far too long and don't help out at all with time of possession. If you lose time of possession to Peyton, Brady, Rogers, and even AD... You'll lose the game 95% of the time.

The D even stepped up during the 2nd quarter of the Patriots game and forced several three and outs, but the offense did absolutely NOTHING to capitalize. One touchdown during that stretch would have changed the game.

A better question is: what's wrong with the offense? The more I think about it, it looks like they've been holding back. The offensive explosion that we saw earlier in the season couldn't have just disappeared into thin air. Especially with no significant injuries on the offensive side.

It just feels like they’ve been using a limited playbook and have been depending on effort and talent to win against lesser opponents since that loss in New England. I’m not worried yet, but I’m pretty concerned. I’m really hoping to see them open up against the Colts on Sunday.

If that’s the case, and I’m REALLY hoping it is, just pray that this team has the ability to hit the switch on demand. Because they are really backpedalling into the post season.

Nah. The defense doesn't get a pass. It's too predictible. The scheme works as long as they're able to get to the QB. If not, the secondary (formation not players) is left open for the knockout punch. The QB just needs time and he creates it with quick passes (Brady) or his feet (Rodgers, Ponder); their receivers are either wide open or have out-run the the lone defender on them.
