Once upon a time they were a true major Rival to McDonalds
    They were a solid #2

They were PEPSI in a COKE WORLD

    Now. . . . I don't like too much of anything there
    Whopper is ok
the chocolate shakes are overly expensive [I remember when shakes seem
to be about the same price of a drink . . not it is like 3 times more]
Their desserts are ok . . . not worth the trip
    they are perfectly mediocre.

Once, I purchased a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. It was akin to a Sam's Club frozen twin package.

I don't like the commercials but their breakfast is better than McDonald's, not that that's a huge jump.

Those are good, if you can get a good one. My only problem with McDonald's is every time I go, the bread on their breakfast sandwiches is hard. Biscuits, McGriddles etc. all taste and feel like they've been under a heat lamp for hours. I am not going at 10:15 either, I usually go between 7-8, their busiest breakfast time during the week and have gone earlier and later than that. Rarely do I ever get a light, fluffy biscuit or other bread instead of a blow pop.

I agree, the "quality" has gone down there in general. when the whopper was $.99, back in the day, it was the best fast food burger imo

They may not be able to compete with McDonald's in sales, but the food at BK is much better than at McD's.

    thats not saying much.

    Whataburger breakfast FTW

one thing I will give BK(if you can find one that does it right) is that their double cheeseburgers are pretty good. I do like the taste of the flame broiled burgers over the ones that are cooked on a flat grill.

whataburger trans fat wins again. of course whataburger wins...they would rather kill you than change how they make their food. at least these other places are moving to healthier oil. all the while, whataburger just wants to make money and continue their trans fat agenda.

sure, come on into whataburger. have some hash browns with that? how about a pipe cleaning and a stent to keep your artery open...so you can come back for lunch?

don't eat the biscuits and gravy, either. :)

not sure why whataburger can't change to a healthier oil when everyone else is doing it? has anyone done the age deterioration test on a batch of whataburger fries? i bet those things will last till the extinction of man.

talk about Whataburger oil, when I was a teller we had a whataburger customer, I hated counting their cash because of the stench from the oil. over ten years later it still makes my stomach turn thinking about it.

I like BK fries, though not as good as McDonalds. Curly fries from Arby's are better than both, IMO.

I never saw the fascination with biscuits and gravy...I realize it is a southern tradition, but it just never appealed to me.

Pretty much, with my recent health issues, adn since I am working on losing weight(down into the 230s now from 250+) the only things I eat from fast food places are an occasional burger, the sausage BOB from whataburger, and the chicken strips from ChickFila.

and even then, I can count the amount of times I have had any of the above in the last 4 months on both hands.

Anyone remember the old Burger King song from the 70's?

    Hold the pickles
    hold the lettuce
    2 cans of artichoke hearts
    won't upset us
all we ask is that you let us
    serve it your way

Have it yooooour way....at Burger King

Word...i wish i could just buy a bunch of those little pancakes. It would be AWESOME to be able to pop a couple of those in the microwave for a snack on the way to work.
