Some people don't like a classy and well run organization that maximizes its potential through an excellent farm system and key acquisitions of free agents. All this of course under the management of a stoic manager who calmly observes his team and has more class and character than some franchises. Not to mention a history of excellence and a list of hall-of-famers to put other teams to shame. People say they hate them because of the money, but many of the same people love the Red Sox, Dodgers, etc. It is jealousy, plain and simple. Their favorite team blows and the guys on top are an easy target. I personally love the Yankees, and have for years. I just wish they could have more than one dedcent outfielder. We'll have to see how Mondesi turns out. Please come over to the winning team Vlad Guerrero.

Yes, of course it's jealousy...well, and Roger Clemens. But, mostly jealousy! Why do you think so many people hate Duke? Is there a more classy program or coach in all of collegiate sports? Maybe, but not too many. Yet, people still hate Duke because all the attention they get. And there's really nothing wrong that. Some people like to go for the underdogs and don't like seeing the "big guy" win all time.
