Elliott Smith - Christian Brothers and all of his other songs, I have had him in rotation for about a week now
Well I've always been a sucker for Mersey Beat Pop since I first listend to it in 1964 so I give it a big thumbs up, right down to the cheesey production values. There are plenty of Beatle videos no more sophisticated. Here's a Mersey Beat Band from 1966...who's that co-singer with the guitar? <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nHCcA1pG35I"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nHCcA1pG35I" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Not sure, the bass player is a good friend of mine and the band broke up in 1993 just as they were signing a record deal, so their music was never released. Their album is really really good.......and the stuff on YouTube is recorded off of British TV and put onto You Tube by my friend Stitch. Glad you like it......the rest of the album is amazing, and it may be coming to the internet near you...fairly soon. DD
