    Actually, Interpol is my favorite band ever. But I do think that Arcade Fire has brought about a very new sound which has captivated a greater critical music audience.

    After listening to the new Bloc Party album, I'm hoping that Silent Alarm wasn't a one time fluke. I've only been able to listen to it a few times through( A Weekend In the City), but I may give it another listen this week.

    P.S- If you like Interpol, check out Editors. They had one of the top albums of 2006. Very similar sounding to Interpol.

    Yea, I have heard of the Editors but haven't really heard any of their songs. I'll have to check them out someday but my budget is a lot tighter these days in getting CDs. :(

    The bad thing is that in this year alone, the following artists are supposed to release new albums:
    Interpol
    Radiohead
    Roxy Music :eek:
    Boston :p

    And it seems like they are at least 2 or 3 others that I am leaving out. Add to that the fact that I am getting back into listening to jazz music (I've been listening to Sonny Rollins this morning and plan on going to Miles this afternoon) and realizing that there are several jazz albums I would like and I wonder if I will ever have all the music I want. :( ;)
