    never understood the hate for the eagles. I can understand just not liking them, but theres quite a few people I know who HATE them with a passion. thats crazy talk i tell ya.

    Some of their songs were alright the first 50,000 times I heard them. Many of them are cheesy pop pablum - perfect for children, the elderly, and patients recovering from surgery. There have been more than a few times that I've flipped radio stations in the car & the Eagles are on 2 or 3 at the same time. Enough already.

    It may have not been SWTSig that hated the Eagles so much but IIRC, I don't think he cares much for them (although I might be getting him confused with DanHiggsBeard who no longer posts here). I think the reason why so many people despise them is because of Don Henley. I remember reading Neil Young's biography and NY mentions that Henley's solo records are "soulless" and have nothing to them.
