This thread needs some soccer action pictures . Franz Beckenbauer ("The Emperor") Karl-Heinz Rummenigge Zico Michel Platini Diego Armando Maradona Ronaldo (and Barthez) Zinedine Zidane Soccer is the beautiful game. The world loves it.
I also kind of like this one. David Seaman (after Ronaldinho's shot) For some reason, I could never stand Seaman and his wannabe-pimp look. Klose scores against Ireland... Pretty sure Klose could outjump a few NBA players...well, Matt Bullard, at least...
Actually Kam, it would be England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, if it was the UK. It's partly tradition, but politics also comes into it. As separate teams, we have 4 separate votes in FIFA (football's governing body).
Not only that, hell i think he's only the 3rd best midfielder on his team too. He does have a brilliant foot though . . .
Is he kind of like Preki and Etchiverry who I know a little about because of MLS. They have great left feet but not much more. So nobody really wants them on the national team. Even though I like to watch both of them.
Wait a second! What does that mean?!Did u know that France won the World Cup and the Europeen Cup! We are one of the best team in the world! We're whipping everybodies a$$ in the Confederation Cup! I won't let u insult one of the Greatest Soccer country of the world! If this is the kind of arguments(politicaly related) ur going to bring to the conversation,u might as well shut up! As for the autographe u should try to get: 1.Zidane: Is and has been the best player for many years. 2.Ronaldo: A bit over rated, but still one of the best scorer 3.Pelé: Living legend in Bresil and the world.Has done much for soccer in his time. ALA
Hey, where are all the current Dutch players? Add van Nistelrooy and Kluivert to the list! As for Dutch legends: 1) Gullit 2) van Basten (arguably best forward in history) 3) Rijkaard 4) Cruyff (one of the top 5 in football history, at least) Why are you asking, sorry? I think I missed something.
I think you are getting a little carried away . Van Basten was great, no doubt, but perhaps his injuries prevented him from having an even greater career. Best forward in history in terms of efficiency would have to be Gerd Müller. Even van Basten did not have 68 goals in 62 national team games. Plus, van Basten never won the World Cup and scored the goal that decided the game (who did we play against...I forgot ). About Cruyff, who would the other 4 be in your opinion?
Maybe because he doesnt play anymore? But thinking as the thread got derailed to former players too he should have been the first to mind.
Beckham has started to pay back Real Madrid as an astoundishing 8000 shirts were sold in 7 hours yesterday. In comparison Zidane's shirt sold only 300 his first day at Real. Ronaldo's shirt sold 2000.
