If we traded Martin for Iggy our wing defense would be elite. Imagine Lee , Lowry and Iggy all playing lock down man on man D on the perimeter and then running the break for easy transition baskets. We would ware teams out. Our Bench would till pack a punch with Chase , Goran and Terrance coming off the Bench. Who knows how well Morris will play? The only clear downside I see is loosing some cap flex ability. Iggy not only has a extra year of salary but his final 2 years chime in at 14 and 15 mil If we could some how squeeze Spencer Hawes out of the deal as well That would make taking on the extra salary worth it.
Just noticed That Iggy is the younger player of 2. Seems like he has been in the league longer then 7 years.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=84go7nu Lowry/Dragic Lee/T.Will W.Johnson/Bud/M.Morris J.smith/PatPat Pekovic/hayes/D-Mo? fastest fix and a team to good for howard to turn down
Yes the defense would be better but the offense would take a step backwards. Instead of trading Martin for Iggy, why not just let Terrence Williams play. He is Iggy-lite. Any trade for Iggy should include Scola as the main player and Bud as the scoring SF/SG that they require, IMO, if possible.
