Yep... for better or worse McGrady is done with the Rockets. Even if it was a good idea to bring him back (it's not) there is too much bad history and it's not going to happen.

    Hahaha ;)

After a pretty dismal season and a non eventful offseason gotta make something outta nothing i say, but honestly it would be quite funny if McGrady came back watch another saga unfold :p

Don't need backup SG. We got Brooks and Bud to fill at spot.

The real weakness is still at PF.

    i TOTTALLY agree with you

At the PF we only have Scola, Hill, Paterson, Jeffries, Hayes, David A., we need more depth at the 4 spot....

    Go figure..

because it is a one star thread....this has already been brough up twice this summer...and i believe most posters agreed the back up spot was reserved for JT/bud/Battier....why are we going to waste assets on a spot that only has 15 mins available, at most? Battier is likely to get most of the back up SF minutes, so most of the time it'll be budinger and JT getting the SG minutes. 15 is perfect for both.

are you saying martin and rip arent efficient shooters?

    DD,

It doesn't look like McCants is ever going to get his act together. He just can't get past not being "the guy".

Fernandez would solve alot of problems. He adds instant offense and plays better D than Bud.

Fernandez can also play PG and would help fill the 3rd PG need. He would be a better fit in Adelman's system than Iggy. IMHO

We don't need a backup sg, we already have plenty to choose from.

What we really need is a healthy Yao, or to trade for some other big that can score in the post and defend.

That said, like others have posted in here, I have always wanted to see Fernandez on the rockets, but he wouldn't be getting that many minutes here and I'm worried he'd be b****ing about it ala Vspan. I'm also not sure what it would take to actually get him.

Man I forgot how strong and durable looking JT is. He is fast and now is more disciplined going to the hole--I really hope we can use this guy........

    More disciplined? What?

When did that happen, because in the summer league, he was the same old guy from last year.

Shannon Brown is available. He's a good combo guard. would make a nice addition.
