Agreed with DD, once T-mac lead the rockets to the NBA champions this year, all the debates about who is the best perimeter player in the league right now will end!

T-mac - Amazing scorer with incredible range! Excellent court vision, good rebounder, underrated defender and totally unselfish/ego. Probably lack some passion to the game and some, including myself, said lack of heart!

Kobe - Best scorer in the league right now! Even he is ultra competitive but i still think he try too hard to act like Mike. An overrated defender(with shaq, kobe can save more his energy of defense and 4th qtr heroics but since shaq gone, you can see kobe defensive effectiveness is droppin and less clutch shots! Good rebounder and passer! Biggest Ego but started to trust his teammates more!

Wade - Referee boy! Another ultra competitive player with a lot of fire in his plays. Not a good shooter but good at attackin the rim. His size is his biggest draw back!

Lebron - Overhyped! Beside his size and court vision(i still think T-mac has better court vision than him), he is average scorer and shooter! To me, he is thinkin to make more money than winning nba games!

Arenas - kinda of overhyped! Good scorer and 3pt shooter. I have to see him perform at this level at least for another season to really convince he is one the top player in the league!

Crymelo - Glen Robinson II. Enough said!

LeBron, Wade, and Kobe are better finishers than McGrady. They don't shy away from contact as much. That's the big difference I see.

    That's true...

    ...nowadays.

T-Mac used to be one of the best, if not the best, finisher in the league in Orlando and his first season here. When healthy, he was on the best there was because of his size and athleticism and overall talent.

And come playoff time this season, I think you'll see just how good a finisher he can still be.

Lebron sees the floor just as well as McGrady! He makes crazier passes too. I give T-Mac the slight edge at decision making...

And what separates McGrady from the Kobes, Wades, Lebron, etc??? Getting to the line! T-Mac just cant get to the stripe with the consistency of those guys.

But dont get me wrong. I still love him.

i'll take t-mac over kobe and lebron anyday...

Wade.... i don't know... i still think T-mac's iq is better.

why you might ask? b/c.. t-mac is a better shooter than lebron while the passing is equivalent, and t-mac is a better team player than kobe..

but b/c wade is sometimes nonchalant about the way he moves on transition d and b/c he's not that good of a curl around jumper, i'd have to take t-mac..

the only thing i can imagine t-mac not being good at is: staying healthy for a long period of time. everything else.... i can't say ****

TMac, Wade, and Lebron are all very unselfish. I think TMac is a slightly better passer than Lebron, but he and Wade are very similar, except for the fact that TMac is taller and has more range, while Wade is probably a little quicker mostly due to being younger.

Kobe, much as I hate to say it, is clearly the best scorer. I was watching him play the Celtics tonight, and the guy was freaking scary. At the end of the game, he goes up for what looks like a normal-looking right handed layup. After he makes a casual jump toward the basket, a Celtics player flies by to contest the shot. So he very nonchalantly doublepumps, flies underneath to the left side of the hoop, and slams it. HARD. Then he walks away like it was nothing.

T-Mac is easily the better passer than Kobe, LeBron and Wade..

Jump shooting, I give Tracy and Kobe, 1 and 1a..

i dont think he had any intention of laying it up. I've seen him do that reverse dunk many times, he was going for it all the way.

How does Lebron wither in the clutch. Did you see him in the playoffs last year against the Pistons. The Cavs were a rebound away from beating them because Lebron was unstoppable.

The only problem with lebron is that he lacks consisten intesity because everything is too freaking easy for him. Lebron needs a coach like Gundy, Riley, Jackson. or even Karl to push him to the next level.

I think people forget how good T-Mac was in Orlando, if only he had never had any chronic back problems and had a dominate center early on during his Orlando years, he would've won a championship and would hands down be considered "better" than Kobe. However, he doesn't need to worry about winning a championship because we all know he's going to get one soon baby.

And as for the debate on which four I would choose...it's a toss up between T-Mac and Kobe. Although Kobe's got that killer instinct in him (more so than T-Mac), I'm leaning towards a HEALTHY T-Mac because he's the ultimate, selfless team player that can take over the game at any given time. If he ever wins one...then he's clearly going to be my choice.

There is a difference between controlling the game for like 46 minutes and then disappearing the last 2 minutes when your team counts on you for scoring. I think LeBron is a great player and has exceeded all expectations. I have to keep reminding myself that the guy is only 1 year older than me and is not only playing in the NBA, but is making it look easy and dominating with his passing, slashing, and monster dunks. However, at this stage in his career, T-Mac and Kobe are just better "closer" than he is. I don't know if he can be taught something like the killer instinct that KB8 and T-Mac have, but then again, Yao did learn to smash all the weak wannabe centers in this league and dominate so only time will tell. Making 2 game-winning shots (one of which was a clear travel), however, does not put him above Kobe and Mac!

But you have to look at the new Kobe. He has really learned to share and has come to understand that without Shaq, he can't do it all by himself. When he had Shaq, the combined points they put up night in and night out was enough to only need a couple points from the rest of the team. However, without Shaq's 25+ pts, he needs his teammates and he understands that now. T-Mac does have better passing ability, but I just think he tries to save his energy for offense. Kobe is a better defender at the moment b/c he actually defends. T-Mac has shown he can do it, but he sometimes looks like he is asleep on the court!

    Its very simple

A healthy TMac without any back problems and without the possibility of injuring his back is better than everyone out there YES EVEN BRYANT

Because of his back, Tmac's endurance is worse than the other guys (maybe he is still not 100%), and he settles more for his jump shot to both conserve energy and minimise the chance of injuring his back

KObe and TMac are pretty much on Par

THe thing is, Tmac doesnt have to Score 40 pts to get the win

he wouldnt mind scoring 10 pts and still get the win,

KObe on the other hand NEED to score alot of points for the win

IMO, heart, age, health and potential are the most important factors. I'd like Arenas and Wade over Kobe, and LeBron... He's hard to measure. T-Mac, on his miracles strides he's the best in the league, but I seriously am not optimistic about his back. Even after Dr. Magic or whatever gave him his curing potion. If I had to build a franchise around somebody, I'd take LeBron, I'm too concerned about Wade getting injured since he's just driving endlessly nowadays... Of course, I still got Wade in 07, and having Ben Gordon as his back up :p

If you are including top scorers, you can't forget the #3 scorer.

Allen Iverson. He gets alot of free throws on his penetration.

He outscores Kobe, Lebron, Wade and T-Mac.

Iverson is obviously a step below all these guys. Sure, Iverson took his team to the Finals (in another year the East stunk), but then Kobe dominated him. All of the above guys are also good rebounders, in addition to scorers and passers. No one in their right mind would consider Melo, either, over any of these 4, despite his scoring. If you watch any of their games, it's obvious that Kobe, TMac, Wade, and LBJ control almost everything that happens. Iverson and Melo don't give you that feel.
