Man don't be ashamed Arandas is bad A$@ especially that hot green sauce with those deep fried chips... The one I go to a lot is on Gessner and used to go when it was a Taco Bell building.

Fast food would probably be Jack in the Box with McDonald's a close second. In college, we had a Jack in the Box with 3 tacos for 99 cents every Sunday and during late night hours. I don't know how many times I ate there on my cheap college budget.

Casual dining would probably be Chili's with Bennigan's (RIP) a close second.

Fine dining would be Lark in Seattle by far. My wife worked there, and I also get comped meals for doing their website and helping out with tech support. I love this restaurant and have eaten there at least 30 times.

Black Eyed Pea! Is that place still around? My family used to go to the one near Bellaire and Weslayan all the time when I was growing up.

For fast food, its LJS or KFC.

Sit down restaurants would probably be Dot's Coffee Shop or Olive Garden.

you guys spend way to much on food.

Learn how to cook, or take more time and cook for yourselves. It tastes better, is relaxing and saves cash.

Chilis ...I've gotten hooked on their big mouth bites.
Casa Ole ...I love their red sauce. And you can't beat the quality for that price.

In all honestly, it might be the concession stand at an AMC multiplex. Alot of my Saturdays are just loafing around all day until going to the movies; and that's pretty much my Thankgiving and Christmas tradition, so there's usually a hot dog, popcorn and a medium soda as Saturday dinner. And Papa John's Online Ordering pretty much made me their b**** every Saturday post-dinner for the last seven years. But recently it's been Bonefish Grill and Fleming's Steakhouse because they're in the shopping center next to my apartment. Also every time I go see a play at this community theatre (about once a month or two) I go to Barnes & Noble to get something to read, then I head on over to Noodles & Co. I only get the Asian dishes, because chopsticks are still fun for me, and probably will be for quite some time. I wish I'd discovered that restaurant in my 20s before (literally) doubling in size.

So cool to see all the Casa Ole responses! We also ate there almost weekly when I was growing up and it is still my favorite restaurant today so that's my pick. I miss it sooo much living in VA now (home of the crappiest restaurants ever).

For fast food it's probably Chipotle.

The only close one to the inner loop is on 290. It's alright. But me and Mak grew up on the SE side of town, and the original Casa Ole is over there in Pasadena on Southmore Ave. If you want the true experience, you should let us drive you over there one day. You and my old man would get along great!

Fast food would be hard to determine, but in terms of a restaurant, it is absolutely Bravo's on Fuqua. My family has always dined out a ton (like 5 to 6 nights a week) and Bravo's was our destination at LEAST once a week ever since I was in 6th grade or so (back then it was called Lillie's).

You can imagine our dismay when it burned down around 2005, but luckily it was back about a year later.

If I had to guess... Luby's. I had to go with my mom and her friends after church every Sunday from like 9 years old up until 16 or 17.
