Pretty interesting, I'll have to study that to understand it better. Tim Allen when he was Santa Claus because of the clause in his contract?
No kidding. It's so dumb. I used to copy/paste a previous explanation from this forum in these instances, but the topic is soooooooo boring now I find it more aggravating than anything else.
Then how did religious beliefs begin? Some scientists, including Dawkins if I'm not mistaken, have postulated a genetic predisposition for religion in humans (the "god gene"), or even that it exists because it was favored by natural selection. Criticism (from other scientists and theologians alike) abounds, but it's an interesting thought. I'm not saying you're wrong by the way, just that an argument certainly exists for agnosticism at birth as well. A child not understanding the concept is distinct from a child choosing a certain inclination in regards to the matter.
Some do try. There is "child led parenting", where the babies and kids forge their own direction and parents interfere as little as possible. Its letting the kids expand giving kids credit for their mental capacity, and just keep them out of danger. Unfortunately there's just as much quacks and zealouts in that as anything. There isnt gonna be a perfect way, just hopefully we find one thats the less of all evils without being weirdos about it
Didn't know where to post this and didn't want to start a new thread. -------------- UK: Teachers Deny Ten-Year-Old Boy Water On Hottest Day Of The Year To Avoid Upsetting Muslims Observing Ramadan… Just when you think things can’t any more ridiculous in the UK. Via Daily Mail:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ar-avoid-upsetting-Muslim-pupils-Ramadan.html An angry mother has accused a primary school of denying her child water on one of the hottest days of the year for fear of upsetting pupils observing Ramadan. Kora Blagden, 32, claimed a teacher at her son Luke’s school refused to let the 10-year old drink from his water bottle because it was unfair to fasting classmates. Many pupils at Charles Dickens Primary School, Portsmouth, Hampshire, are fasting during Ramadan, which means they refrain from taking food or water between sunrise and sunset for around 30 days, depending on the moon. Mother-of-four Kora said: ‘Just before bedtime me and my sons Luke, ten, and Alfie, eight, were talking about Ramadan as we had seen it on the news. ‘Luke said to me he was told he wasn’t allowed to drink in class by his teacher. ‘The reason being, a child who is fasting had a headache and the teacher said it would be unfair if the other children drank in front of the pupil. http://weaselzippers.us/2013/07/12/...to-avoid-upsetting-muslims-observing-ramadan/
