I don't see much evidence on snopes to convince me that it was indeed a plane. People seem to treat snopes with too little questioning these days.. they just search for the question at hand, look at snopes' conclusion, and take that as gospel. It's hard to think anything but the plane was involved because of all the missing passengers, etc. But the stuff the site talks about doesn't really deal with that part of it, moreso the evidence that we have in pictures etc.
Actually, I found that they talked about the pictures, specifically dealing with the "hole is too small" and windows are intact" questions.
