texxx, between your history, and what you wrote about your mom, believe me, we have a pretty good sense of what might have happened.
as far as asians are concerned, I see a lot of them in mixed couples, including the neighbors I grew up with, a girl I dated, hines ward, etc etc
but you are still defining a race of people as more likely to be racist from personal experiences. It doesnt matter if you think about it or not when you meet someone. When asked you still grouped a race of people "whites" as more likely to be racist. Now the other example can be applied in exactly the same way. Again it doesn't matter if you think about it or not. Just because you dont think about it doesn't make you not a racist or a racist.
You're still not getting it. I'm not saying that white people are more likely to be racist. If you take 100 white people that I have not met and 100 non-white people that I have not met, I would not say that the white group probably has more racists. I said that a higher percentage of the white people I have known have been racist. I did not say anything about extrapolating that to all white people. I don't think that individuals of any race are inherently more likely to be racist than members of another group. It's like flipping a coin. If I say that I flipped a coin ten times and eight heads came up, I am not saying that the coin is more likely to come up heads. I won't predict that my next flip will be heads. I am just making the observation that in my past experience, I have seen more heads.
Oh right. To get technical, there are only four base races: Mongoloid (from Asia) Caucasoid (from Europe) Abariginoid (from Australia) Negroid (from Africa) So everything else is a mish-mash. And in my book, if you're not an abariginoid, you're not even human.
LOL! Nice try. The OP asked in your personal experiences. In my personal experiences, whites have been more racist. Do I think that justifies me treating all whites as they may be, no.
Where the hell did I say or even give that impression in my response? Thanks for trying to put words in my mouth and failing miserably. As stated above and by the poster you quoted, in my personal experiences whites have been more racist than any other racial group I have encountered. Do I assume whites are more racist than any other group, no. Do I assume it is OK to treat any unknown white people as they are racist, no. Am I assuming anything at all, HELL NO!!! Quit trying to flip it to justify YOUR views.
I'm not an expert on race, but it seems to me that the most racist race is the 100-m. I mean, when is the last time you saw anyone but a black guy win or even place?
I share similar opinion. I am Asian and I feel Asians are the most racist at heart. In my life experience, I don't have any racist encounter with white, black or brown people, at least not one that is impressive enough for me to still be able to remember. But I have been on the receiving end of racism from my fellow Asians times before. Usually, it happens in the service sector where I can feel the different face/attitude that they show to me than the one they show to another customer, for example, a white guy.
That's probably more of culturalism than racism. They probably thinks you're cheap because of the stigma tied to Asians, but doesn't really hate you for being Asian. There's a difference. White people generally tip more, unless you're Jewish
Every race is as racist as the other. Though as far as I know whites don't hate on themselves. Other races seem to have inferiority complexes; black, brown, and asians seem to hate on one another.
Yes, you are right. But me and BillyBob were talking about folks who are racist against their own people and therefore I made my post specifically about these people.
