wow lil pun... after our other thread that went several pages long I am disappointed in you. Are you not making a assumption and pre-judging someone based on their skin color in your statement? You are saying without ever meeting anyone you think "whites" are more prone to be racists.
The problem with trying to quantify this is that context is important. In any sort of heterogeneous group of people there is going to be some sort of friction that plays out but doesn't matter in other places. For example when I was in Ireland a lot of the Irish were very friendly to me and would buy me drinks and even want to get their picture taken with me. On the other hand one of my friends was told to "F*(k off" by some Irish in Dublin when he offered to buy them some drinks. We found out that they thought he was Polish and apparently the Irish look down upon Eastern Europeans and have the same attitudes that many of those in the US harbor towards Mexicans. Now the idea of bigotry towards Polish in the US seems laughable now or that one group of white people would essentially have racist attitudes towards another group of white people. The sad truth is that racism and bigotry permeate humanity and any race or ethnicity is just as likely to be racist towards any and all other groups.
I would say that the races that have been discriminated the most against are typically the most racist... it's a self defense mechinism.
Watch this video...jokes about chinese/asians being racists.. it will add some humor to this thread  <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BBwFqudGac8?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BBwFqudGac8?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
but he is basically saying without ever meeting anyone he ASSUMES a white person is more likely to be racist than anyone else. How is that any different than someone who lives in a poor neighborhood and based on PERSONAL EXPERIENCES that blacks are more likely to commit a crime or be a gang member??? He had a huge issue with that in the other thread. Both are drawing a conclusion about a certain race of people based on PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
It's different because he absolutely did NOT say what you're saying he "basically said." He said that in his experience, white people have been more racist. He did not say that he then uses those past experiences to guess whether or not people he's just meeting are racist (your "he assumes a white person is more likely to be racist"). I understand what he's saying because I would probably say the same thing. Among the people I have met and known well enough to judge, the white people have been more racist. However, I do not make assumptions about whether or not people are racist when I meet them. I generally don't even think about it unless the person does something that seems racist to make me start questioning them.
This is a lie. Either you're trying to slander me, or you're just being lazy. Probably some of both. here was the post from over 7 years ago that I made. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=1017748&postcount=33 let's not derail the thread with your personal butt hurt, chap.
dude, for someone who's mom made ridiculous accusations against her co workers, I doubt she would have been happy with you bringing a black woman home. and I don't mean to make it personal but for you to go off on asians after posting that, yes 7 years ago, I think you are being a bit hypocritical. no I don't know the situation your mom addressed but it they do seem quite ridiculous. sorry if offended you but that post will always stick out in my head.
You're a trip brah. The fact that you believe my mother's accusations were "ridiculous" means you automatically sided with the blacks -- is that considered race bias? especially when you don't have the details? I don't know how my parents would have reacted had I brought a black woman home -- I never did, but I doubt they would have been against it, if I was happy. The bigger question is how on Earth would you know my parents' reactions to that? You're just talking out your ass. A butt hurt ass, at that.
