    How are non-Hispanic whites supposed to be a minority when they could account for 47% of the population while Hispanics could be at 27%, blacks 13%, and Asians 9%? <50% = minority? That's stupid. Someone has to be the majority.

    In 2050 I'll be part of the 27% minority.

    Less than 50% but still the largest group is in fact not a majority. To use election terms, it is a plurality. Majority, by definition, is greater than 50%.
